You can take whatever BC says in the media and throw it out the window. It essentially means nothing. Lest we forget his declarations about "not changing the core..and JO is part of the core" interviews he gave. He basically looked reporters in the eye and said Nope no JO trade and then boom...Jo trade.

I'm not saying he does the opposite of what he says every time. its much more complex than that. For whatever I have against BC the man is a master spin doctor. What he says only has connection to the truth if he suits his purpose.

I joke about his plans to keep Barbosa and Jose but seriously no one knows what he will do except him and he's not going to tell anyone. To me him saying I am trading Jose means no more than him saying I am not trading Jose.

Am I crazy to think that Milwaukee might actually consider this?

Jose Calderon & Ed Davis

for

Brandon Jennings & Stephen Jackson

http://basketball.realgm.com/tradecheck ... de/6037031

T.O. could pair up friends Demar and Jennings to make a killer backcourt and waive Jackson with our amnesty clause.

Mil could get rid of Jackson who is causing headaches, Jennings will leave in 2 years for a bigger market and replace them with solid Calderon and a solid your prospect at the 4.

I like it a lot actually and could see it going down. We might even start JAX at the 3.

We can't amnesty a player unless he was already on our team before this season.

I'm on the keep Calderon wagon. He's one of the better players on our team and is not the reason for our record. Unless someone calls with a nice package and we have a plan for getting a PG of the future, I think he's a good PG for this team. Calderon, DeRozan, Val, Bargnani, and a guy who can hit shots at the three like Wilson Chandler is a deadly offense IMO. Then we can bring in JJ for 25 mins off the bench.

If Stephen Jackson were traded to Toronto I'd issue all fans entering the ACC with garlic head bands.

Of course, I want to keep Bargs. But the question is, will Jose Calderon help us make the playoffs in 2012-2013? He is playing good right now, but we have to look at next season.

Unless we trade for a better PG. We don't really have alternatives for a point, I don't know if Bayless is the answer for 30+ mpg. Even if we draft a young PG, it'd be best to have a guy like Jose around while the PG develops for 2-3 years.

Done for me, only thing is you can't amensty Jackson since he wasn't on our team on July 1st 2011. I think S-Jax would actually work here. To me Casey seems like a guy who could get him to get his **** together since S-Jax is a hard nosed defensive type of player. If you plug him beside DeRozan and Bargs that isn't that bad he makes up for some of Bargs' rebounding trouble and for DeRozan's defense.

Can't see how any Raptor fan would turn down that silver platter offer from The Bucks considering we have Jonas V and a 2012 pick to use to add to the team. I think if we drafted right and had that team we are a for sure top 5-6 team next year and higher the year after.

Calderon is probably the worst type of PG for a team like the one you described. That team is full of finishers and lacks shot-creation ability aside from Bargs...what that team needs is a penetrating point-guard, a play-maker....definitely not Calderon.

I appreciate his leadership and his play of late, but Jose is not the answer. He is all wrong for this team...

...at the same time, I definitely wouldn't give him away either. He is worth a non-lotto first, and that's what I would like to get for him...that Jennings deal would be better still.

If we did that Mil trade then signed Chandler..

Jennings/Bayless
DeRozan/Jackson
Chandler/Klieza
Andrea/Amir
Val/Gray

For next year plus who ever we draft.. That's not shabby at all..

Jackson's contract expires next season, so I'd do that deal without a modicum of hesitation.

Stephen Jackson doesn't work for anyone except himself. He's the Latrell Sprewell of his time and in no way, shape or form should he allowed into a dressing room of young, impressionable players, although letting James Johnson rip out his throat would be worth the price of admission.

BC better trade Calderon. In my opinion they shouldn't be hesitating if all these teams are really interested.

almost no trade makes sense, no1 is gonna give up a good young pg, and theres no standout pg prospect in this or next years draft...only if BC believes bayless can turn into a mini Lin, which is slim

While I don't mind keep Calderon, I'll be very upset if BC is ignorning potentially good trades (draft picks in 2012, cap relief etc) in order to keep Jose and keep Casey happy. I find BC has a tendancy to try and keep his coaches happy, but it better not be at the expense of the betterment of the team.

The last time Jose played well for a few months, it ended up in disaster. We gave him a huge contract that became untradeable for years and he didn't start justifying that contract until the last couple of months. I think we really need to tread carefully here. We have been waiting a VERY LONG TIME for Jose to start justifying his contract, and now that he's finally tradable again we're going to say we're intent on keeping him based on a couple of months of good play? No way, Jose!! Let's not make the same mistake twice!

The same could be said for Bargs. I like the dude and Im proud of him for playing well for 13 games this season, but if teams are willing to give quality players/picks for his services, then do it. No one should be untradeable.
