I actually do remember Lamb running around trying to get open playing next to Napier and Boatright. Very limited ball movement and just terrible offense

Edit: Short Mike don't you dare chime in now as you clearly haven't watched any regular season games.

Its OK, I'm done chiming in on Lamb at all, for my sake more than anything.

Here's the part of your sentence you forgot to add. No one is saying he didn't try to get open during the beginning of the season, buy you guys can't honestly be sticking your heads in the sand pretending the latter didn't happen.

Didn't happen. You and I never watched UConn play. We never discussed them during the season, and we never had petty arguments during game threads. He never forced the coach to bench him because he visibly quit on the team in the final ten minutes of a close game. Never happened.

I'm just tired of you don't watch basketball games in response to motor comments, when its DAMN **** CLEAR IF YOU WATCHED MANY UCONN GAMES THAT HE HAD MOTOR ISSUES AT TIMES.

I watched all season, and I don't see him having motor issue cos he does demand the ball and run around via screen everytime asking for it but the chuckers always tries to dribble Jose style till last few seconds for Lamb to create in such a short time...and da hell u saying about him quitting on the team and never forcing his coach to bench him...HUH? What kind of logic is this? The whole team fails to come back, should the whole team force the coach to bench everyone then?

its cos you have no evidences to prove he's got motor issue, face it, statement without evidences is quite weak, try harder to defend your statement next time.

I'm not saying he doesn't do it or doesn't do it well when his head is in the game. Its a skill that he definetely has and will have at the next level -- its a major strength. But he gave up on it way too often this year... that's the motor and Shabazz frustration.

That being said andles and shot creation (outside of off the ball movement), is not a great strength by NBA standards like some claim. It isn't bad either.

What I am saying there was a game (Lousiville or Georgetown I belieive... certainly a Big East game) where he just gave up in the middle of the second half. He forced Blaney to bench him when he shoiuld have been on the floor. That happened.

It was in response to the he never quit comment. He clearly quit that game, and was benched at a crucial time.

The greatest shooter of all time, Ray Allen, stands in the corner on occasion when he makes his dagger three's. It's just how the offense works, you can't just run around aimlessly in an NBA offense or else teammates will be confused. The running needs to be calculated. Sometimes you end up standing in the corner on a post up play for a big, or if your point guard is a mindless chucker (see: Shabazz Napier).

Good grief you can spin this till your blue in the face. You and Fred were both there watching the games along with me where we would count the minutes at a time Lamb would go without touching the ball. There were whole halves of games where it looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but on that court. If you can't even acknowledge this then I'm done having this conversation.

Edit; Even when he got the ball he struggled attacking. Some of this falls on the team no doubt, but some of this is on him too.

Saying "have you even seen him play?!" is not evidence either - and saying "your lying" to someone saying they have seen them play isn't a defence. What evidence can anyone really draw on really? You either see instances where Lamb dissapears in games, or you dont...I can't link UCONN games in here.

Why is such an elite shooter shooting 33.6% from the NCAA three point line? Yes, the Bazz effect has some impact, but is that not a concern at all? Sweet stroke, but he had games this year where his misses were not even close... pretty much every big game.

But you don't understand Boatright and Napier took those shots, the scorers table just gave the missed shot attempts to him to lower his stock. You clearly never watched the games

Nahom knows I rode him hard all year about Bazz. He is horrible. But he is not the full blame.

We're not even asking u to give evidences of Lamb comparison to Rip/Ray's offball play, try to read carefully before you lose your cool. Evidences showing Lamb has motor issue, that's where I'm saying. You saying he's disinterested, like what, once or twice in awhile in the game? Hands on his hand, not playing in stance, did he do that every single play sequence? no. Coach's sequence is to have him run around thru screens to curl off and catch & shoot or catch and drive, but every play sequence, both napier and boatwright hold the ball for too long, Lamb does all he can, always running thru screens to get ready to catch and shoot in most sequences, that's MOTOR right there opposed to just stand there in corner in most sequences (now that's no motor!). Your definition of hands on his hand/not in stance/watching the offense does not occur in that many occasion in the game. I'm not using comparison on talent, but comparison in motor, Lebron doesn't engage on offense, looks at dwade creates in 4th quarter, hands not up to catch the ball, stands in short corner watching, does that mean he's got motor issue? Cmon, your definition of motor is very strange.

What the hell happened to your english? Honestly Im going to have to try to read that a few times before I get the jist of what your saying.

Edit: Okay um yes I know what the offense called for at the beginning of the season. However around the time coach went down with an injury or flu or what have you, the offense turned to crap. It became Boatright Napier and Lamb all along the perimeter passing the ball along the outside. There were no picks there was no running around there was simply a a run the clock out scenario. This was the second half of the season onward when teams decided to run zones 99% of the time.

Lamb did move off the ball quite a lot when he was playing the 3 with Napier and Boatright, but just got looked off for an ill-advised shot most of the time. Remember the game against Syracuse where Drummond rolled his ankle in the first half, but re-entered the game later on? Lamb was knocking down jumpers left and right coming off of pindowns by finding seams in Syracuse's zone defense playing with Napier and Boatright. That's a game right there I vividly remember. The main point is, it was usually in the second half of games where Lamb would start to look invisible standing on the wing or at the corner which makes sense when he's moving off the ball and your lead guard has his head turned the other way, so he became content just standing in one spot. Why waste energy when you're not getting the ball, right? I remember that happening against Syracuse in the Big East Tournament on their last possession with Lamb not demanding the ball on the left wing in which Doris Burke was roasting him which was highly uncalled for. They had Napier up top at the key who didn't even bother to look at the side of his shoulders after Lamb reversed the ball back. A lot of UConn's ball movement was aimless. I said it in another thread, but whenever they move the ball, it always ends up back to the guy who started the ball-reversal which would be one of Napier or Boatright up top.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

I wasn't even counting, I was staring at all 3 guys all at once every second, 1st guy is Napier the lunatic who fancy the ball then goes fack it i'll just jack it up or do triple crossover till late clock, or 2nd guy drummond who's sissy about having his body touched w/ other guys and going yuck basketball is such a mean sports, and 3rd Lamb running so hard thru from one corner to another corner off the curl going GIVE ME THE BALL PLEASE GIVE ME GIVE ME GIVE ME PLEASE PLEASE HAND GESTURE :-?
