Considering the turnaround post trade, I was curious how this held up. I don't know the good stats sites so I just looked it up the old fashioned way.
.500 or above teams we lost to before the trade:
Charlotte
Pheonix
Golden State
Denver
Miami
Portland
Chicago
Houston
Indiana
Miami
.500 or above teams we won against before the trade:
Bucks
Not sure if our first game against Boston, they counted as above or below .500 statistically (0% or 100%?), I'll assume they aren't included.
So, prior to trade we were 1-10 vs. .500 or above teams. That would mean we are 15/15 vs. .500 or above teams since the trade, which I think we can agree is meaningful, since it's an entirely new team since then. This is the same % as BKN and better than everyone else in the East save Indy/Miami.
So our winning percentage against good teams should probably be held up as a positive, not a negative.
