No, he's right. Salmons gives us just about what Lebron does and he's A LOT cheaper. We also have a rising star in Ross. No point bringing in Lebron.

Salmons gives us just about what Lebron does in as much as they both are capable of playing the game of basketball. Their capabilities diverge wildly from there.

Replacing DeRozan with LeBron makes us a title contender. Replacing any other wing (including Ross) with LeBron makes us the title favourite for the duration of whatever hypothetical contract LeBron were to sign.

No, Lebron James is only 29. We need experienced veterans like John Salmons to take us to the next level. Plus, Salmons is much more talented than Lebron James and has more respect around the league.

Zach Lowe ‏@ZachLowe_NBA 7h

Greetings from Barclays, where Heat were watching a Bosh-era Raptors playoff game ('08 vs Magic) in their locker-room pre-game.

Lebron's Raptor obsession knows no bounds, this is inevitable people.

Who cares about them this is Lebron we are talking about. He gives us instant contention.

 Yeah LeBron is coming to Toronto so he can be 45 min from Akron. He'd just goto the **** Cavs then. There's 0 reason for him to come here. Maybe if they could pay him 500 mill he'd THINK about it. Durant too. Neither have any interest to ever come here. Durant was embarassed to even say he was a Raps fan. He said he used to tell people he was just a Vince Carter fan and not a Raps fan. We will never get a superstar other than drafting Wiggins... which we'll do soon thanks to GOAT Masai.

Treadmill for life brahs. accept it. This team is the new Joe Johnson hawks. Except there's no one as good as Joe Johnson on this roster

Fk Joe Johnson. This TV network league would run interference on LBJ coming to the advertising black hole. They would have to run disclaimers before every game.

Warning: the game you are about to watch would not be made possible without official sponsors like Sprite (slogan) and Gatorade (slogan) and the men and women in uniform who protect us from great evil.

We live and we die on the treadmill. I like the current team but a superstar coming here would be a miracle.

Only way we could ever possibly get a talent like LeBron is through the draft.
Looking for a new signature. Currently, still evaluating.

Bob McCowan doesn't know a single thing about the NBA.

I agree McCown knows nothing about the NBA.

However, I did hear the interview on PTS where Bob straight-up asked TL about those rumours and Tim didn't exactly go out of his way to disperse them, even reminding Bob that he came to Toronto to put them on the right track (went on to highlight the Raps as a proof point).

Definitely gave the impression that he's not here long term, but I guess I didn't expect that anyway.

Tim and Sid interviewed Leiweke and asked him about it and Leiweke said he is staying and those rumours are ridiculous since he wanted to create 3 championship contenders and he is not even close to being done.

If you have one ounce of reservation about signing the best player on the planet and will probably end up being the GOAT then stop posting because you are either bipolar or 5 years away from getting your driver's license. Jesus Almighty.

The Raptors pride themselves on going after character guys. How can you just assume LeBron is one? Its a delicate process. People have every right to have their reservations.

What in the world makes you think LeBron is not a "character guy"? His teammates love him and given the intense spotlight on him it's great he's never had any significant off-court issues. It seems like the most glaring thing people that dislike him point to is his ego, which is not exactly a bad thing when you've been the best basketball player in the world for the last handful of years.

That's not what he said. He sort of muffed it and said "do people want me to leave that bad?"

It seems as though he really doesn't like it here but as long as he is here he will do his job and do it well.

Yeah and after that he said he wasn't nearly done and is planning on staying until he finishes what he started.

all you posted was a picture of a part of florida that looks like it'll be under water in the next decade vs a city during that winter that could easily be, boston, minnesota, chicago, new york, indiana, washington, cleveland, detroit as well as toronto.

Am I taking crazy pills or are all the comments on here jokes?

Lebron may be the GOAT.

If he wants to come here the rest of the roster is irrelevant. Anyone should be moved to build around him.

Lebron coming here would be beyond the biggest deal probably in Canadian sports history.

Return to Toronto Raptors
