Look at the previous page (table)
"But the thing is, maybe I do want to wake up one morning and say, `Baby, let's go to the Bahamas. Today.' That costs money. So what if I want to do that?

Patterson will earn just under 6 million this season (5.8, Espn confirms http://espn.go.com/nba/team/roster/_/name/tor/toronto-raptors), if we also consider the contracts of Vasquez and Nogueira, we can count on 3.3 million to take the last player.
Would be sufficient for Blatche, in my opinion..

Is that how much we have under the tax? Did JJ take a chunk out of the mle or no?

We signed Johnson with part of our MLE so the most we can offer is the balance of the MLE, or roughly $2.6m

For Johnson I think it was used the Bi-Annual Exception, and a small part of the MLE.

Can't remember who tweeted it but JJ's first year salary is slightly more than the Bi-Annual amount. So part of the MLE was used in this case

Pretty sure you can't combine exceptions like that.

BKN has early bird rights to Blatche and Toronto has the Gay TPE. Both would be more than enough if Toronto has 3.5M in space

You mean sign and trade with Brooklyn? I doubt they go for that.

Why would they care. They get a TPE on someone they don't want.

update - July 17th

i changed Pattersons salary figure of 6,000,000 to the number listed by ESPN's trade machine. I saw one poster indicate they had his salary listed.

I also added Derozans 600k incentive. I will change Vasquez & J.Johnson once i hear of their exact figures.

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

you cant combine exceptions. It was part of the MLE, we still have the bi-annual to use at our expense.

Do a sign and trade with the Nets Hansbrough for Blatche
Sign Blatche 3.4 m 2015 and 5m 2016
Hansbrough is redundant with Blatche and Hayes is still on the team.

I've thought of doing something like that but 2 problems.

1) why give up max cap space next summer for Blatche?

2) if Blatche wanted a 2 year deal at that price why wouldn't the nets retain him? They are in tax so taking Hansbrough results in them paying 6.6 million instead of just his 3.3 salary.

Well think Blatche burnt his bridge with the Nets when he said xxxx the Nets.
Unless the Raptors are looking to offer the Max next year to someone like Kawhi we have substantial cap space Fields, Hayes, Amir, Williams are all expiring contracts $24.8 million and assuming both the cap space goes 2 or 3 million. He isn't a detriment.
Forgot the .6 million we owe Canby so $25.4 million in expiring contracts.

I hate to see Field still taking 6.25 million this year. He's only worth 1 million to me, I hope his name disappears on our roster list!

Return to Toronto Raptors
