What makes me laugh is people are so offended by someone posting their opinion on the internet.

They read it and are so taken aback they need to block me.

They think it’s “trolling” when there’s information to back it up, and when they don’t have an answer it’s why is everything so negative.

I used to be team positive and then I saw that last season of Demar and wouldn’t just go with the flow with mediocrity. When Kawhi came, best season ever, but now that he’s gone we look to be going down the same path.

Fred and Pascal both bombing against Boston shows a future similar to the past.

So go ahead and block me and take personal shots instead of actually discussing. It makes me laugh that people are so hurt by someone’s view on the internet

Uhh, no.

That’s why the joining in is hilarious.

He said that me listing 5 better cores which are easily better to start was a troll, then I said let me delve deeper and there’s probably almost 10-15. His OP saying that we have one of the best cores locked up for years to come, which again, isn’t true. We have a mediocre code - no matter how much everyone wants to spin it. I listed off 10+ cores that most would take.

Once again - when Kyle is done/gone is OG, Siakam and Fred really that great.

But yeah, everything is great for us moving forward, let’s pretend a superstar is running to join us. This place is a joke. People have stopped reading and just are ready to be cult like in their support for Masai.

I agree. When Kyle is gone they will be garbage! This year when Kyle went down this scrub core only went 12-2 with wins over LA, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Utah, and the Blazers... to name a few. In nearly all instances they were led by Siakam, VV, and Powell. This core is trash and could not, I repeat, COULD NOT be one of the top teams with a top flight free agent signing.

Especially now that they've lost Marc and Serge to LA. How can they possibly compete without their aging $50 mill worth of centres who couldn't even see the floor in crunch time against the Celts?

Normally, I wouldn't bother arguing with known trolls. Thankfully, this off-season will be mercifully short. Then the games will start and Steelo and his acolytes will retreat back into the shadows while the Raptors "surprise" the league yet again.

I think you and everyone doesn’t know what troll means.

No doubt we do need more assets and talent on this team. Hopefully Siakam gets back on track, and TD, Norm or Malachi break through in a big way, would be huge for us. Clearly we're banking on trades and free agency to get that superstar that will put us over the top. As a fan I don't mind this approach, it's fine to tear everything down and build through the draft, but we've seen over and over how hard it is to start winning once you've got a great prospect.

Fred on Tim and Sid talking his signing and journey of betting on himself. I particularly like Fred pointing out the irony of draft prospects being compared to him when he himself went undrafted.

Discourse requires enough intelligence to critique actual opinions of another person not making wild false claims, straw men arguments or trying to assert your opinions as facts and putting down others opinions or interpretations as invalid.

You know if you keep saying something without anything to back it up other than I’m right and you’re wrong - without putting any sort of info down (remember you were wrong about OG, and then kept changing the narrative about trolling of cores in the league to then saying it was trolling), it’s not really anything.

Me: Hey here’s my thoughts and opinions and facts
You: You’re a troll and wrong and I’ll keep changing my stance because... reasons.

There’s no need to continue this discussion between us. You’re not adding anything of substance and keep doubling down on nothing.

Good luck anyways.

lots of these ppl are lost

Kawhi had the greatest playoff performance of all time with us...that's why we won. We are never winning a championship w FVV as the star.

Great self reflection.

You are so right about og. The raptors are very concerned about losing him in free agency really soon.

It's already one of the better non-rookie contracts in the league.

We're looking at another 3 years of PG development (which typically occurs late 20s).

By next year and surely the next....and the year after that....FVV will be in the top 5 non-rookie contracts in the league.

Make no doubt about it...fred's trade value is higher than Holiday's was.

We could probably get 3 FRPs and a couple swaps on his contract if we went that route. More for him than anyone else on our team.

I like Fred more than many here and see how his strengths (strong D and shot making) are valuable... but 3 firsts and a couple pick swaps would absolutely not happen for Fred.

Right now 2 1st picks. Wait until he gets 2nd team all-defense.

You can’t actually believe that’s his market...

Again, I like Fred, like what he brings but teams aren’t going to pay that price for this version of Fred.

Fred is great off ball but is terrible at running the offense. He pounds the rock for 20 seconds before chucking up a contested 3 or driving into 4 people and getting blocked. If Lowry leaves this offseason I am not confident about Fred being our starting point guard at all

It's largely due to his contract. I agree that haul would be too much if the only consideration was Fred's performance....but to have him locked in at 21 per year for 3 more years? The efficiency of that contract is worth an extra first to combine to the 2 I think reflect his performance value.

I'm telling you....in another year that will be one of the most highly coveted contracts on the league.
