For those who were able to watch the game live, how was Flynn's playmaking? The boxscore doesn't look great but that's only part of the picture. Was he looking to create for others and they were just missing shots?

His shooting though.... dam

The key question is, what's harder to find, a player with Suggs' skillset or Barnes' skillset?

Masai's proven to find talented PG's late in draft or undrafted.

You'll never find a prospect like Scottie where we usually draft. Thats the difference.

You mean like OG/Siakam? Lol

OG was there, but yeah I mostly agree with that. Barnes just feels like he’s on a little bit different level than where OG was at. He’s also way more assertive.

Flynn looks like he could make a leap and I can’t help but wonder if that maybe played a role too - although I still think Suggs is a SG.

Not bad. There wasn’t really anyone else that could create shots so it was just him and he did that really well.

Scottie is head and shoulders above OG/Siakam at the same age/when they got drafted.

That wasn’t even his best move.
He was shedding defenders like a snake sheds it’s skin.
He had a killer instinct to his game.

Just finished watching the game. It looked like Flynn was making plays for others when shooting wasn't an option. He played well, although I'm still wondering if his catch and shoot 3 has improved, as most of his makes today were off the dribble.

That's good to hear! In the perfect world he can run the bench mob and help elevate the guys around him.

I will make my definitive judgment base on tomorrow's game. Glad we'll have everything figured out this soon. But seriously, please don't be better than Barnes lol.
It depends on how you define better. Shooting wise? Probably. But will he impact the game at both ends like Barnes does? Will he provide the versatility of Barnes? We will find out in a few years.

That fires me up to hear! I'm hoping he can take that next step as a bench scorer/facilitator for us this season.

Lots of opportunities for Gillespie. Who bobbled them or missed. Also some solid kick outs for bricks. He didn't seem like he played many minutes he looked WAY more talented than any other player on the floor.

lmao so too early to call him a HOF'er?

Also, the form on his 3 pointer isn't bad at all! I honestly expected it to be a lot worse. Pumped to see how it develops with NBA trainers

How did you use my statistic to thinking that i'm saying he's HOF'er? I'm just throwing shades at the people wanting Ben Simmons here

OG was pretty damn impressive in his rookie year while coming off an ACL injury for a contending team. Siakam I agree considering he also was a 4 year college player.

The NBA somehow made Summer League a thing. I'm watching teenagers and borderline NBAers play in Vegas in August

Just curious. What do you think of Cade's defense? I'm watching this game and I'm not impressed by his defense given his length and height. He's getting blown by and not fighting through screens.

This team desperately needs a lead dog on offense. If Suggs can be that while being good defensively, it will outdo Barnes projection of being a prime Draymond. But who says that Barnes can't be more like Giannis than Draymond so ultimately time will tell.
