Great move having Delano play a game running point then back to big club
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

He's playing tonight for the 905. Playing well, splashed in a 3 which is nice.

The first few minutes of the game Banton was doing everything on the floor, and led the 905 out to a big early lead. Then they took him out after about 5 minutes, and the Knicks team started getting back into the game.

In those first 5 minutes, Banton was easily the best player on the court. It's really amazing how far he's come in such a short time.

Edit: Boxscore shows it as 6 minutes where he had 7 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists.

I'm watching him since he's come back into the game and that boy is 100% too good for the G League. He's carving them up. What a find by Masai and Bobby

What a half by Banton!

He comes back into the game with the 905 down by 12, and within about 3 minutes he's led them back even (and only even because the Knicks are shooting an absurd 14-24 from 3). Banton finishes the half with 18 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists in 12 minutes.

That'll probably be the end of Banton's night after the 3rd. He played the entire quarter (10 minutes in the G-League).

His stats through 3 quarters - 30 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists in 24 minutes. He really might be too good for the G-League, which is crazy because it's something I never thought I would say about him this year, let alone after his first game.

you pretty much knew he was going to shuttle back and forth. He's a rookie.

Edit: I was wrong. Guess they really wanted him to get an extended run. He came back in and helped them secure the victory. Didn't score any more, but ended up with 9 assists, and played excellent defence.

So we know what he can do when the 905 want to win a game. Now to get him game time reps creating and shooting 3's to start expanding things.

I'm excited about this dude! To think he gets it at this level already makes me embarrassed that I thought he was a token Torontonian pick.

Want him averaging 7 3pt attempts a game. Took 3 today. And a bunch of mid range shots.

Banton at the very least has key cog bench potential but seeing how others developed he might become a starter. A bunch of G League games will do him good

I actually think Precious could use some time down there too. Sadly we don't have enough center depth to do that.

Remember when we picked Dalano and we all got even more pissed cause we were already pissed that we took Scottie

Never doubting Masai ever again. David Johnson probably gonna be a player in the future too

Never understood the questions Masai got this summer. If there's one thing he's done well here it's draft picks:
- Siakam #27
- OG #23
- Fred undrafted, signed as a FA
even Poeltle @ #9 paid off since he helped get us Kawhi (averaging 14/10/2.5/1 this year as a starter). are there some misses? of course, the draft is generally a crapshoot especially beyond the first few picks

always to look at his record with late picks and think "what would Masai do with a high draft pick?". the answer is Scottie Barnes!

I think the Raps have made use of the G-League better than other teams. Getting a team was a priority when Masai signed on as GM

I'll never forget the squad that won the g-league championship LED BY Siakam (MVP) and Fred. Norm & Poeltle honed their skills there too
