The Houston 2nd rounder is basically a late 1st. They gave up a lot imo

That seems like a pretty big price to pay for LeVert. It gives them another (inefficient) scorer, but it doesn't make them noticeably better on its own. I wonder if they have any more moves up their sleeves to go for it.

No way we were giving up a first for Levert. He's got talent but he never had the one year where he showed that in the the perfect system he can be efficient that would tempt us, I think. Also 27 and injury prone both seem like red flags in terms of us parting with a 1st.

I’d still be surprised if the Suns moved him this season. He’s a good security big for their playoff push.

There were the rumours that we enquired about Robert Williams. I don’t think the Celtics trade him and I know the arguments against pursuing that type of player….but damn I’d still love it if we could get a player like him. Lol

I’m still nervous about us pursuing Turner. I like him and all, but I just don’t think he fits our switchable philosophy this year.

With Rubio being dealt, I guess Goran is the last big expiring left for teams looking to dump salary?

Yup. Agreed.

Who knows what direction we’ll take at the center spot, but I do like the idea of trying to add another athletic that can slot in with the switching. I love watching how disruptive it can be. Especially when Banton is in as well. Absolute havoc.

But I agree, I would not give up a first round pick and just try to get a guard off the bench maybe. We need more low cost players on the roster. Our starting 5 is already going to be extremely expensive.

i'd rather trade dragic to the knicks for burks + scraps, get a little more room under the cap and then sign ibaka once he is bought out.

If we were to get turner/or any starting Center .. without losing a starter … does Scottie then come off the bench ? Or turner/Nurk ? I don’t think it would be anyone else honestly

Jalen smith from phx
Wonder if we make a play for him and if they want dragic

Might work for both teams if we can make salarys match

Now that Brooklyn is falling apart, is there really anyone that we should be worried about in the East? We can go toe-to-toe with Miami, Milwaukee, and Chicago. At this point, a heavily protected first-round pick and maybe a young prospect like Flynn and Dragic's expiring should be offered for Myles Turner. Is there a better offer out there at the moment? Charlotte could beat that package but maybe not? What else could we throw in to sweeten the deal?
