Banton has a higher ceiling but he has some big holes too.

Favid Johnson? The guy shooting 39% and 28% I'm the gleague?

He's finally showing real development, they brought him along slowly. Last 3 games

12 / 2 / 1 50% / 66% - 3
27 / 6 / 4 62% / 50% - 3
11 / 2 / 3 50% / 0% - 3 (Game Winner)

They won't blow your doors off but he's definitely getting better every month with his percentages and plays within the offense. He is a bit heavy on his feet though.

Hey, another David Johnson fan? I see the progress and he has had a weird year with injuries, but no doubt he is a skilled guy. I still think he can be an extremely skilled passer and potentially a lead guard. He doesn't have elite burst which hurts, but give him time he could be a Brogdon type.

I don't know if he sticks on Toronto because they have a lot of questions to resolve, like what if Jalen Harris can come back? Or, what if they like DJ Wilson? David Johnson IMO is the most likely casualty seeing he is only on a two-way. Banton has so much social capital being such a 'Toronto mans' he would likely need to go to jail before being released over Johnson.

Not a good game for Banton, but I still like his natural feel for the game and point guard instincts. Ultimately, he has to work harder if he wants to stick around. Just like Fred/Siakam/Powell and all the other projects before him that came up in the system. Otherwise you end up like Terence Davis or McCaw.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Just peeped the boxscore and noticed that Malachi Flynn played 43 mins.Welcome to Nick Nurse's rotation Flynn.

Really excited for the kid. Now he just needs a haircut. His on court swag is a bit low.

I hate this. Of course he won't look good when he's looking over his shoulder after every mistake and then picking up DNP-CDs every other game.

Lol. You really never noticed he can't play well coming off the bench? Like not once in the last 20 tries?

Nurse needs to put the same amount of trust in Flynn that he gave FVV in the 2019 playoffs. It was ugly for the first 2 rounds and a half, everyone was questioning why FVV wasn't benched. Then it just clicked and he ended up playing a big role in that Championship and has been great ever since.

Standing in line at my Starbucks and the girl in front of me bought me my coffee. What a great way to start the day. Going to rewatch the game now.

Anyone see the postgame with Nurse? Dude got testy when asked why Flynn wasn't given much minutes earlier in the season. Gave a generic answer of, oh you need to make shots and be productive for me to give you minutes. Except he can keep playing Precious through his plethora of mistakes, many of which are basic basketball plays like catching a damn pass lol. Makes no sense to me how he expects a young player to come into a game and deliver with such a short leash.

Nurse is a giant hypocrite. He has the guys that he trusts and he'll go to hell or high water with them. Anybody else who makes a mistake gets an immediate yank.

Fans are back and Dragic gets the full treatment LMFAO.

His first shift was legendary: 0-3 from the field. 0-2 from the line. 2 personal fouls.

Birch was looking a little better in this one. Some crucial offensive boards.

Late 3rd quarter stretch almost lost this one for us. The Dalano-Flynn backcourt was a disaster. Mostly because of Dalano. I think we went 0-12 in the 5:35 minutes he played.

Nice 4th quarter comeback, with Scottie gradually taking a greater piece of the pie.

Flynn can play. He's found himself. If he becomes a man, and starts throwing down some sass, he might find an extra gear and fulfill his destiny.

Ridiculous and inconsistent officiating in this game, it should be said.

you have to conclude from this that Nurse's management of the team's energy levels (and gameplans) is excellent, despite all the grief he gets for playing our top guys so many minutes. it is obviously working superbly in the very legit test of playing back to backs.
