5/130 with $10m in incentives… $140 total

Assumption is he plays well

A few comps from his draft year:

Devin Vassell - $135M/5yr
Cole Anthony - $39M/3yr
Jaden McDaniels - $131M/5yr

For once I'd like to see Masai play a little hardball and not just hand over a blank cheque without another team signing him to an offer sheet. It'd be nice to see something under $100M/4yrs.

YOU GOT YOUR GUY.

EVERYONE GET IN HERE NOW

Haha, I really did get my guy. I thought it was the most obvious trade on the market but I did not think it would happen due to the lawsuit between them.

Ya I wanted us to get a little more for OG.. wanted Grimes but we got RJ and a 2nd.. not that bad at all

Knicks were offering $18 million per year extension but he wanted $25 million, so I'm cool with $100 million over 4, that's really a nice even psychological milestone. Would he do 25-25-25-25? That would save a bit more space to max Scottie.

If he can give us 18, 5 and 5 on 45%fg and 38%+ 3fg with a low turnover ratio, I'll be very happy. That would be our best PG since Lowry left.

He's never played more than 25-28mpg in a season, so will be interesting to see what he can do as a full time starter playing 34-35mpg. Per 36 he was averaging 23ppg, 3.8rpg and 3.7apg.

Always like to go back to a player's scouting video to see what their strengths/weaknesses were then and how they are now.

Because of this guy, my excitement level is back for this team, even if we may not be all that good, it's exciting to watch 2 young prospects with star potential in IQ/Scottie develop.

The path for him to take that Maxey like leap is getting more efficient with his floater to the point where he's 55% from the 3-10 ft area instead of 45%. I don't think he's going to ever be a 8-10 FT per game guy but 5-6 is possible and that will obviously help with efficiency as well. One notable difference between him and Maxey is while they finish at a similar percentage at the rim, the frequency they do is way different. IQ opts for the floater far more often while Maxey gets more lay-ups. By being more efficient with his floater game, that will likely open up more shots at the rim for him as well if the D has to focus more on stopping it. Right now, while it's great he has a floater to use as shot he can get off whenever he wants, it's not an efficient shot to be taking by the numbers.

Doesnt Maxey finish way better at the rim? At least that's what I gather whenever I watch him. Neither is Tony parker but Maxey gets there faster and is more explosive.

Yes, he does. I just mean they both finish 65% at the rim but obviously that doesn't mean they are equal as Maxey gets there more than twice as frequently.

I think you’re going to be disappointed if you’re expecting Maxey.

Quickley will be more akin to a FVV that has a floater package. Maxey’s speed and finishing ability is just on another level vs Quickley.

True.

Edge goes to IQ for defence and initials.

Nick's obsession with this man was sickening.
Fred I could understand, but this right here had me convinced he had some dirt on Nurse.

That can turn relationship sour. No need for that at all. Then what if another team offers him for 3+1 then we have him for just 3 more years and he is not happy about it.

Couldn’t have imagined this kind of return. What a trade.
