Not only does Fields give us just as much, if not more, on the defensive end, but he also will be a good slasher, passer, and rebounder. Salmons really doesn't provide us with anything on the offensive end. With Fields, you get what Salmons gives you and then some.

I expect Demar and Ross to show up and JV/Lowry/Patterson continuing their play from the last game. We should win this game.

For Ross to show up, Casey HAVE TO TRUST HIM AND LET HIM DO HIS THING. Offense cant just be between Lowry and Derozan.

I really hope that the "veteran" Nets start wearing out as the the series progresses.

They didn't show signs of having two players 36+ in their starting lineup in game 1 but maybe they're the type of team that loses fire power by game 4.

If only they did back-to-backs during the playoffs

tbh, they are still top professional athletes, its not like they are some old nobodies. They have top of the line athletic trainers who prepare them well and after all, they are veterans who have been in this situation before, so they know how to use their energy efficiently. Not too mention, they have 3 day breaks in between games so fatigue shouldn't really be as big of a down factor for the nets as everyone is making it out to be.

Angle from ESPN feed fully showed him taking a hit. Any of the angles TSN had made it look otherwise, he didn't completely fabricate that acting, he did get hit but he exaggerated the hit to draw a foul.

We need to attack Pierce and challenge him defensively. The more weapons we get in foul trouble, the less we have to worry about as the game progresses. But if they want to play small ball with Pierce at PF, that needs to be exposed.

they also arent ALL really that old, just pierce and KG

dwill 29
livingston 28
Johnson 32

Pierce 35
Garnett 37
Plumlee 24
Mirza 28
Thornton 26
Anderson 31

thats the playoff rotation. and outside of pierce and garnett the team is basically in their primes or younger. JJ is past his prime, but he is also kind of an ironman. With 2 days between games and KG only playing 20 minutes a night i really dont see these guys wearing down to wear its a factor

Chuck still in our corner against the Nyets, and thinks we have a better chance against the Heat than Brooklyn does. Nice to see he hasn't jumped ship.

Barkley slurping us hard on TNT right now. Saying we have a better shot against the Heat than Brooklyn does.

I like Charles Barkley, he stands on his own. Even when people look at him like he's a fool for saying the Raptors will beat the Nets.

I know, even I don't think we are a better matchup against Miami compared to Brooklyn.

It might be a little early, but all I want for Christmas this year is a series won against the Nets

Going over the first game again, Lowry played 44 mins and Demar had 37 mins in Game 1. Yeah its the playoffs and they will be heavily relied upon but Lowry and Demar played the entire second half! Vasquez and Patterson came in with about 3 mins left in the 3rd and played the rest of the way (barring the last minute token Novak substitution). 4/5 guys on the floor in crunch time did not have a breather in the last 15 minutes of the game. That can't happen, no matter how young you are!

On the other hand, Pierce and Garnett sat from the beginning of the 4th till about 6 mins left and then made or assisted on 6 outta 7 final made field goals. We can talk about them being old all we want but when they are rested and our guys are running on tired legs during crunch time, it really doesnt matter now does it?

Now I am not saying this is the only reason why we lost but it surely played a part and this does need to be looked at and addressed while looking ahead at Game 2 and thats on Casey!
