JV's defense sitting on the bench is terrible. Kyle Lowry plays better defense than him and he's in a suit. JV should be ashamed of himself. Once he is gone and traded away next season, the Raptors' defense will rise to the top again.

Over the course of the quarter, true. I was specifically pointing to the one instance where people were blaming JV. Where Thad Young/Joe Johnson got offensive rebound attempts. Amir was nowhere to be found while JV was left contesting everything without any
rebounding help. DD/GV were there but they don't have the size to do anything.

If Amir is contesting shots or covering a stretch 4 on the perimeter that is where JV needs to clean the glass. This is why Casey keeps saying they need rebounding from JV. He needs to essentially dominate and rebound when outnumbered. In this particular game DD/other perimeter players need to help out and collapse as we are allowing penetration all of the place.

But going forward JV needs to become dominate rebounder. This guy he lost couple of 50/50 rebounds.
