If Kawhi was on this team we would've swept Boston. That is all.

Then proceeded to never use it again and put Gasol back in for the next quarter where we choked that lead and trailed by 10 the rest of the game. I have a theory that Nurse just wanted to go home and was sick of living in a hotel.

That's exactly when I said "there goes our lead" to the GF and that was the game :banghead:

That swayed the momentum big time. This whole series Nurse was deeply unimpressive. Gasol basically forgot how to play basketball, and yet Nurse stuck with him the ENTIRE series. FFS, it was 5 on 4 Nurse. Just deeply depressing that we didn't change that.

Wow. Lowry at presser making it sound like FVV won’t be back. Basically said he can’t wait for FVV to get his money this offseason which means they must have talked and FVV said that’s he going to the highest bidder. Can’t say I’m really disappointed because FVV is not a legitimate PG for a real contender so good luck to him next year . Hope he gets his money that he wants so badly.

I tried my hardest to support Siakam and stay by his side but he deserves some of the hate that is coming his way....he got outplayed by Marcus Smart in this series...and by a big margin.

obviously it will depend on the $, but if we let him walk, do we have a better alternative lined up? How long can we continue to rely on Kyle?

Nurse really got exposed this series.

Coaching aside, some very serious concerns about the team:

1. Rebounding.
The amount of second chance points and opportunities we gave up is unspeakable. No way you can give that up and expect to win.

2. Turnovers
Speaks for itself. Way too sloppy with the basketball

3. Scoring
This team is HURTING for a pure scorer. No one on this team can generate offense consistently with the exception of Lowry.

As for as the personnel goes - very scary performance by Pascal. I get guys have bad games sometimes but he looked liked he didn't even belong in the NBA. Playoffs is what matters and when your max guy looks like that in the playoffs, you have to get worried.

FVV got exposed as well. Terrible scorer at the rim, doesn't draw fouls and no midrange game at all. Unless that jumper is falling, he's really useless on offense. That is not the guy I want to pay $20+M per, especially considering that we're locked into Pascal's expensive deal. We should be looking to S&T him.

Gasol is toast. Extremely slow defensively and unless on O for the most part as well. Ibaka played well and will likely get $15-20M per over at least 3 years for a team that needs a versatile big. We should S&T him as well.

Powell, despite his performance tonight is a net positive value deal and probably the only non rookie asset I'd be interested in holding on to outside of Lowry. Sadly, that also means he has the highest trade value and if the right deal came along, I'd do it.

Um, most of the board was gushing over him this whole season saying he was elite. When people would question how he would fair in the playoffs those posters would get attacked.

You mean the overly delusional fans on realgm? Shocker. Bargnani could come back and have 5 good games and this board would call him a hall of famer. As per usual unrealistic expectations are set and when said unrealistic expectations arent met its everyone elses fault

That contract is going to cripple us unless we can move him with picks for a star eventually. He has no business being the go-to guy in crunch time. He was absolute **** the entire playoffs, restart and even before then. We should have waited to give him his. I think Masai had the african blinders on cause there's no way in hell he's a max player.
forget being a number one option. the guy was horrible. anytime he had the ball in his hand there was a 80% chance something bad was going to happen. I've never seen someone fold this significantly in a playoff series before.

there HAS to be something we're missing. the Celtics were even giving him single coverage and he couldn't do a thing. I wonder if we hear anything about an injury or something.

He doesn't look injured. A few posters here were talking about how he would struggle come playoff time even at the beginning of the season. He was getting points at times but you could see he wasn't coping well with being the number one option. He had some big nights but more often than not he looked meh. In the playoffs, defenses get tighter and he's been exposed. Same **** happened vs philly last year. He was unplayable.

There was a lot of poor decision-making down the stretch, and that isn't characteristic of this team. It sucks to lose like that, but full credit to Boston for forcing our guys to play heavy minutes, and for playing such great defense. This series could have gone either way, but ultimately Boston was ever so slightly better and deserves to move on.

Things we have learned this off-season:

- We need a legitimate backup PF on this team going forward. Siakam logged really heavy minutes all year, and that may have worn him down. The effort was there, but obviously the results we grew used to seeing weren't.

BS excuse considering he wasn't doing anything basketball related during the shutdown. All players are worn down when it comes time for the playoffs, Kawhi basically played on one leg in the finals.

Yeah I totally think not touching a basketball at all during the break really hurt him. No touch around the basket at all. Even layups were hard to come by for him

We went to the final possession with the best team in the Bubble. For all the things we did wrong, we must have done something right to be in that situation. As bad as every player supposedly was, we were one call away from winning this game, and there were a lot of missed calls, and frankly, some that shouldn't have been called period.

Pound for pound, we stood our ground. In the end we were our own worst enemy, but that is understandable considering how much time the older guys were on the floor.

The minutes our starters played, I am impressed that we still had gas in the tank and that no one got seriously hurt. Thank you boys, for an entertaining series. Hold your heads up high!

This series loss was 100% on Siakam. Nurse going ride or die with him is unrelated to the fact that when the lights turned on Siakam absolutely **** the bed. He couldn't even execute basketball basics like passing and dribbling. All series long Siakam did not see a jumpshot or drive he didn't like.

The story is Siakam compounded and componded failure, especially in key moments. He had zero confidence on offense yet had 1000% confidence finishing the offense.

Van Gundy mentioned it last game - hope this series doesn't affect Siakam's trajectory as a player.

Groom Terrence Davis to take over and make mistakes, like the kind we let Siakam have all playoffs long.

Guys you just can not defend this. This is not being negative this is stating facts! A lot of people on here don’t like the truth and like to be told what they want to hear.

What are u talking about he couldnt get bunnies, he turned the ball over more than a G league player. Demar is a million times better than him and that is saying alot!

I don''t know. We might go the way of the Dallas Mavericks when they won a chip in 2011.

I think Smart has gotten the better of him in that exact same way 3 times this series.

I feel like TD3 should’ve got a shot against Smart but with a short leash.
I wonder if Houston small ball would work with this team if Ibaka and Gasol walk.
Also, Siakam never seemed the same since that awkward fall under the basket.
