I think they are negotiating an extension with Miami.

I guess the Raptor like Herro and Precious more than Philly's 1st pick, Maxey ,Reed and future 1st pick.

If Kyle is willing to sign an extension with a potential trading partner, that bodes well for our return.

kyle isnt eligible to sign an extension officially, they can talk broadly about what it will take to resign him, but anything more is illegal.

I am not a fan of Herro due to his disgusting defense, but no way they get him and Precious.

I thought that too, until i realized we'd probably be taking on 2 years at like 18 million of iguodala - and he's completely washed.

I dont think miami can trade dragic (also 2 years left) or Olnyk (hes there only stretch big, plus their forward rotation is weak to begin with). so that leaves toronto being "bribed" to take on iguodala's candy ass.

iggy and dragic both have team options for next season. so essentially both expiring.

Kyle cannot get an extension because of his 1 year extension. They can only negotiate this in the off season.

Give me Hero, Precious, 2025 unprotected pick and expirings.

So it could be:

Iggy
Harkless
Precious
Duncan
Nunn

For Lowry

Or add Norm on our side, and Herro/Kelly on their side (and remove Duncan)

And that's a pretty solid return. The only issue is that we pick up two RFAs, and it would also kind of mean we'd need to trade Norm as we'd have 3 free agent guards this summer. Obviously, we'd just be waiving or flipping Iggy for a second round pick or something.

I doubt it. Anyway it does not matter as soon as Lowry lets the family know it is Miami and not Philly then reality sets in and we see what Masai has extracted. No way they add Norm.

I think you take Precious, Duncan Robinson, Nunn, Iggy, Harkless 2025 1st

You send Robinson and Iggy to GS for Oubre and their 2021 protected 1-10 and 21-30

Final tally 2021 GS 10-20 range, Miami 2025, Precious, Oubre, Nunn
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Keeping Dragic, who isn't even all that useful to Toronto, would go a long way towards getting that ring. Dragic was instrumental in Miami's playoff run last year. There's a way to make the deal work without involving Dragic and the Raptors don't even have a use for him. What's the point of including him in a deal?

What would you say is a realistic trade for Miami?

This is coming from a Heat fan, so let me know if I'm being bias, because I probably am:

Something like Herro, Precious, Kelly, Iggy, Harkless + 2025 pick (if MIA can get OKC to remove protections) for Lowry and Norm. I'm lower on Herro than most Heat fans, but I feel comfortable saying he's a better prospect than Toronto will find elsewhere, either from late first rounders or from Philly by way of prospects like Maxey and Thybulle. Precious is a pretty decent prospect, too.

Again, maybe I'm being way bias, and if I am -- definitely let me know lol

Deal! Now on to Norm. I hope Riley feels like this Heat fan. If we got this return for KL we would need a second statue of Lowry. One for the Championship and a second for the deadline bounty. I am still smarting from when we paid Alonzo Mourning 10 mil to disappear. I wanted that Raptor jersey. I did get minor satisfaction watching Mourning drink Timmers after JV set them ablaze.

That would be one hell of a get, considering you could flip dragic to the clippers or sixers. But seeing as it has to be a three way deal, I don't see the Heat involving the Sixers and improving them in any way, so Clippers it would be.

Read again. His offer was with Norm.

There is some atonement with any Lowry deal. Mourning's 10 mil. Ghost of Marcus banks. Big three Bosh theft. Despite all that both Wade and Caron Butler were both likable players. Have never disliked the Heat as a team.

Lowry
Oladipo
Butler
Bam
Aldridge

thats a pretty sexy lineup. Nice mix of offense/defense. Now do the Heat have enough assets to get all 3?

Interesting. So there is a part of him that wants to stay here as I don't think any real contender can give him much in FA. Am I wrong?

Return to Toronto Raptors
