I don’t think any team in the nba would pass up on Suggs because they want to give GTJ more playing time lol.

Cleveland passed on Oladipo because they had Dion Waiters.
But yes, i highly doubt the raptors do this.

Suggs is a less athletic version of Westbrook and someone with actual leadership potential with a better shooting potential.

I do want us to pick someone who can just get a bucket or make a winning play.. Bouknight might be that guy if we are getting additional picks.

yeah so it’ll probably take OG and at least one or even two 1st rounders to move up to get Cade

Suggs being compared to brandon roy and dwyane wade and westbrook and dearon fox etc on here. He should definitely go #1

This is why i think if the rumours are true green was promised by houston so he stops doing workouts for the other teams. Detroit seems open to trading it for the right price. And all it takes is green going ham in a workout for teams to second guess cade at 1

If Cavs offer 3, Sexton, and an unprotected first I’d consider that if I’m Detroit. That unprotected 1st is likely to be another top 10 pick

Really depends on how high Pistons are on Cade

OAKLEY_2 wrote:And then Green is an easy pick for the Cavs. Unlike the lotto balls Suggs name appears just about every roll. Watched a clip of Shannon and Skip (LOL) and they said post tourney Suggs did not scream Ja Morant level talent. Skip said he def has winning intangibles but isn't by any means "generational" if even an allstar. I think that is harsh. He screams superb all round athlete. Leader. Competitor. He screams intangibles. He screams IQ. He screams Lowry replacement.

Skip and Shannon were also down on Cade. Shannon said he might be an allstar one day but doubts he can go beyond that, not a top 5 player. Skip agreed but said maybe he’s holding back in college.

They don’t really rave about a prospect unless they’re athletic like Zion/Morant or score in bunches like Trae. There are outliers like Lamelo where despite him putting up meh numbers on bad efficiency in some irrelevant league in Australia they still gave him praise.

They’re just speculating. They don’t watch games regularly. Making it up. Some of us here have way more knowledge about the guys.

Lol, most talking heads agree that any of the top 4 would be #1 in any regular year.

I don’t think Detroit takes that Cavs offer unless they’re super down on Cade. I wouldn’t take 3 and sexton for Cade.

If Masai senses anything like that I hope he does whatever it takes to get that first pick. Cade is so good.

Just read on The Athletic- they suggest that OG and #4 for #1 and Plumlee. Plumlee would be nice but I would never trade OG.

Sexton is an undersized volume scorer with average efficiency and poor defense whose going to ask for the max.

A BIG pass. You aren't successful with guys like that.

OG and 4 is such a high price to pay for us but I would just bite the bullet and do it.

I don’t think Detroit takes that though.

If the front office believes in Cade, they absolutely trade OG to get him.

I’d trade anything but OG.

We don’t even have a proper understanding of what OGs actual ceiling is. Trading him would be a mistake

Someones gotta explain Trey Murphy III being a 2nd rounder tho. He's an absolutely elite shooter coming into a league that values shooting above all else and he's athletic/big/long enough to be a multi positional defender. Someones gonna get great value on him and i hope its the Raps

I love OG but it would open up the roster and avoid the logjam at the guard positions.

FVV/Flynn
Trent Jr
Cade
Pascal
Center

Vs

FVV/Flynn
Suggs/Gary Trent Jr
OG
Pascal
Center

We lose a lock down 3 and D but gain our first legit number one option since Kawhi. I’d be tempted.

It’s one of those high risk high reward deals. I absolutely think OG can be a 18-20 points per game guy next season even with his limited dribbling abilities.

But the reward is Cade does live up to his expectations and does become a less athletic jump shooting Ben Simmons. That would be scary and a franchise propelling move.

we don't even have a proper understanding of what Cade's actual ceiling is. the possibility of hitting a snag in any deal, because of OG, could be a mistake.
raf1995 wrote:I just don’t think he has that kind of potential. I think we will regret not trading him for a haul in a few years when he’s a mid-tier starter with nice playmaking and defense and a shaky jumper.
