I think Nurse planned for it. We hide Trent on defense against Horford, while Trent easily scored against Horford on the other end.
Obviously, Ujiri should be credited with having better centre this year, which allows us to go big.

It depends if there is a match up for Trent. Trent was horrible against Schroder, as Trent couldn't change direction and go for the steal, someone like Schroder with a handle who changed direction and got a clear path (twice in the 2nd quarter). But then Trent was matched up against Horford, and he scored around 10+ points against him?

OG is a slow starter. He's probably their best shooter. They'll eventually start going in.

OG always shot as a catch & shoot player, now he's trying to create off the dribble and it's been an ugly disaster

The team as a whole is playing like a mess on offense. They'll settle in and OG will take more shots in rhythm.

Honestly og will be fine... it's just He needs to stick to his role... I'm fine with him getting some reps in but it's obvious who and what type of player he is... fans need to stop thinking everyone is a potential face of the franchise...

The one guy I can see that has it already is Barnes... I don't expect him to score 25 every game but he just has the full package... even when he's not scoring he makes a difference out there.

I think all three of those guys would look pretty great in our system. It’s easy to overreact after 2 games, and while Scottie showed A LOT more tonight than he did all summer, teams are going to figure him out a bit yet and there’s going to be games where he struggles. Now if he shows this over the course of the year? Yeah, you’re no doubt taking him higher than 4.

I don’t think you hypothetically trade him at this very moment just because of what he showed tonight, but I think if you redrafted at this very moment you probably still draft the same way given the full body of work. If I were forced, I probably would trade him tonight for Cunningham and Green (though Green has looked pretty brutal) but it’s kind of a toss up with Mobley who has also looked good. Suggs wouldn’t even be in question though.

I’m 1. Glad I don’t have to make that decision lol. And 2. Really happy we drafted him, whereas at draft night I was uncertain. So yeah, I was wrong.

The craziest thing is it felt like we were looking off Scottie majority of the game and he still put up some monster stats. Wait until he gets the green light and we run the offense through him. He's going to claim that closer/go-to-guy role seamlessly. If Siakam can accept that he's Robin to Scottie's batman, then we could potentially see what could have been had Kawhi stayed. Heck, Scottie might end up being the better player. He's the real deal, man I'm gushing over him.

Green would look absolutely terrible in our system. Nurse would age about 20 years coaching him. The only thing Green can do on the court is score and he's not even doing that at an efficient rate. So he's basically a complete liability at this point. I like his upside as a scorer though.
