Lol so true. Forget about assists. Like you said, the man doesn't pass. Head down Palacio-style, black hole extraordinaire. His refusal to advance the ball on the break is when it's most apparent to me, looking off guys 20 feet in front of him: "Pfft!" Hasn't cost them yet but as soon as they start losing he's bound to become Public Enemy #1. And we've all played with ballhogs like that- back in Grade 6. They need to think 3-4x before letting anyone else in on the action. It triggers beautiful memories for me. So pure, innocent and painful to witness at the pro level. (In fairness I've only seen two games. But it wouldn't surprise me if his fga/pass ratio were higher than 1. Every time he swings the ball I cringe... because I think he cringes too. Good man.)

I like the Nurse bet much more (and actually placed it earlier tonight!). The reason is if we win the Atlantic, Nurse is virtually guaranteed to win COTY, but we also don't have to win the Atlantic for Nurse to win COTY. If we come in behind Brooklyn or Philly, but outperform our expectations to the tune of say 50 wins, that should be enough (basically what Thibs did last year with the Knicks).

i ended up putting 50 bucks on Nurse as COY but only got 22-1 by the time i got there.
i couldn't resist spending my other 50 bucks on that Raptors championship at 80-1
sure we're a long shot we aren't an 80-1 long shot!
