If Raps see the value in a guy who can control the game, find open shooters, and take the shot himself, well ... they found him.

Dude has raaaaange. He goes to the hoop and gets kickout and dropoffs. He doesn't need to finish.
The good thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.

Out on the perimeter defensively I'm not worried about him, even on switches he'll still be starting 30ft away and he's a fighter. I just don't want us to automatically rotate n overrotate if he gets burn with us this year

Same.

Despite all that, he got a 2-way because he is arguably the best PG in college last year.

Keyonte Johnson got drafted because of Markquis Nowell

He knew, logically, that he was safe. He wore a heart rate monitor during practices and games. Kansas State also monitored how his heart was functioning as he slept at night.

But he couldn’t shake a certain feeling. Point guard Markquis Nowell could sense his discomfort, and he reassured him: “Bro, everything is gonna be fine. The medical team, they all got you. Just go ahead and hoop, man.”

Something in Keyontae loosened. He began to trust his body, playing with instinct, the way he always had.

This swagger on a National stage:

The guy leads and is an offensive engine. He is a fascinating gamble but a smart one to make.
He is a fighter!

Dude is 5'7" version of discount Trae Young. Awesome passing vision and feel. Tremendous range. Sometimes questionable shot selection

Anyone who saw this kid in college had to have seen that he's a special player.

Sounds like the Raps may have another Fredderick-like UDFA steal

Trae's never going finish strong among the trees, but he has the best floater game I've ever seen. I didn't see the first three quarters, did Nowell flash that shot at all?

That cross court pass to RHJ was absolutely perfect placement while penetrating and multiple defenders in the way. Special pass.

Watched highlights. The real deal as I thought he would be! Unfortunately his defensive effort was lacking, at least from the very little I could see. Definitely a dynamo offensive player and probably a pretty weak defender. Opposite of Fred

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Amazing how he's able to see the passing lanes at his height.

He was easily the best player on the floor in that game, which is hardly surprising considering he was one of the best players in college last year. His size is still gonna pose problems for him at the NBA level but he’s got a shot.
