I feel the same. He doesn't look small out there. I have to do a double take watching highlights because I keep thinking I am watching the wrong player.

His video was legit shocking to me. He routinely bullied bigger players, and it's clear to me why he won Naismith DPOY over Edey despite the latter putting up some ridiculously dominant numbers.

The inner plates look like 20kg Eleiko plates, the outer plates should be 10's. So, 90kg each side = 180kg (400lbs) plus the bar which is on average about 50lbs. 450lb deadlift. Yeah. Strong.

Without a waist belt? Hard to tell in the picture...

I mean, a lot of guys do. 450lb without a belt, yeah I can't do that much, so I dno, but I don't use a belt. Unless you think they are LB plates, which would make it 180lbs + 50 lbs = 230lbs ... which is a low weight for a man, never mind an athlete (esp one to take a photo of...), I dno what to say. 450lb is a lot, but it's not out of this world for a 200lb guy. According to https://strengthlevel.com/strength-standards/deadlift/lb an intermediate lifter (50th% percentile of lifters , 2 years practice) at 200lbs should be able to do 373lbs, and an advanced one 80th percentile, 5 years of practice) 467lbs. Elite would be 567lbs.

He has some unbelievable potential, but he looks like a really raw prospect to me. I see shades of Bruno, both good and some bad. He has a lot more hunger for the game and in 2024 the needs for a big are also a lot more in line with their skillsets.
I do think that we need to temper expectations. He could be Saer Sene/ Pops Mensa Bonsu/ Bruno Caboclo or he could be Stromile Swift, Darius Miles/ Andris Biedrins.

Doesn’t seem like a very dynamic player and the shot is ugly. Very Kyle esque in that sense, though he had a pretty explosive first step in college and early career. But he has the makings to be very solid all around player.
