hopefully we passed because they really like CMB, but the pelicans unprotected first next year.. i mean damn man

Just because they offered that to the Hawks, does not mean that they offered it to Toronto at 9.

Very possible that they started upping their offer as teams at 9, 10, 11 turned them down - and they got more desperate to get it done.

If the Raptors did turn that offer down, it’s a huge mistake. HUGE!

It was reported that Dumars called every team from 8th until someone accepted. That includes raptors, and yeah, imo it would've been a huge jump picking from originally 9th to 23rd. And that 2026 Pels pick is a gamble. Definitely a Lotto Pick but still... I'm fine with the 9th.

Ayton is a weird fit with Luka. Low energy, low motor big who avoids contact like the plague. Thought they'd get someone with some bounce.

It just means that MCB needs to be really damn good for them to not want to drop to 23rd and have an amazing trade chip or potential top 10 pick next year.

That or really shortsighted since the front office might not want to or cant afford to wait until next year to add a high end prospect based on their contractual statuses.

But RJ at age 25 and a few months younger than Coby and entering his 7th season, .better get ready for the GTJ contacts soon.

Cool

I don't want to slag RJ, he is a good player but in a different way and it doesn't quite add up.

RJ's game is predicated upon him attacking the basket, and to his credit he gets to the line 5.4 times per game but shoots 63%. He is now under 70% for his career and with a 1.5 seasons in Toronto at 63%. His 55% TS given his 29% USG are poor. He far from being a three level scorer. He shoots under 35% from three for his career. I do love him at the rim, but in the playoffs will his game really work?

Coby White is more of jumpshooter but he still gets to the 4.1 times per game and shoots 90%. He is a scorer with 60% TS and is one of the guys the Bulls now rally around. He had a stretch in March/April where he averaged 30 PPG over 10 games. He just needs opportunity on a good team - the guy has been behind Lavine, Derozan, and now has been given an opportunity to be more of a focal point. Once they sign Giddey, White might not be part of their future plans.

It would be cool seeing him back on the Warriors. I get why the Raptors are moving on but he was always an entertaining player.

Please no Sixers.

I want him to go back to Oregon where it all began
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

They must make Euros super homesick. lol. But the just took on Saric for nothing unless Saric is going to give up his salary too.

My guess is it is a similar situation to last year with Raps and JV is walking for nothing.

Denver going to get $10m taken off their salary

But are deals official yet or do they become official on July 6th?

If he is a nugget, he will have to negotiate a buy out first.

It definitely **** over the Nuggets

My guess is they let him walk if the buyout is $0

They’ll be under the luxury tax.

The Nuggets will probably be super-excited for the flexibility. They have a large TPE from MPJ trade too. But I think the trade gets reneged on as it is still listed as pending on Spotrac. They are stuck with Saric.
