this vid is of ESPN Fastbreak discussing the trade deadline rumour of JO to LA for Odom, Vujacic and Farmar. The guys ripped the rumour for obvious reasons.

It is a good thing for LA that they didn't pull the trigger and were better off with Gasol in and Brown out.

I think the Pacers brass realized that they were greedy by asking for that much.

Toronto is taking a gamble on JO, but I feel that this will make them more competitive.

TJ and JO still have to pass their physicals. Can anyone please enlighten me as to when this might take place? Tonight? Tomorrow before the draft?

thats very immature and juvenile, just so you know.[/quote] And your answer beams with maturity, just so you know. Remember i didn't start this with 'why wait'. So dig yourself before you take digs at me. I don't like the trade but i'm not hammering anyone because they do.

if we had drafted LaMarcus Aldridge instead of Andrea Bargnani, this is a trade BC wouldnt have had to make. Just shows how a bad draft pick kinda influences other moves and BC is gonna have to work a lot of magic to make up for it.

What if Jermaine fails his physical?
Andrea Bustani speaks the truth, never slurps every move the raptors make.

Andrea Bargnani 08-09 stats - 7 points 2 boards on 39% shooting
Jose CONderon 08-09 stats - won't be as good as TJ 5 star General Ford

You care to explain why? When JO was healthy he was the same inside-out player as Bosh with slightly less athleticism but slightly better D.

JO plays from the mid-block to the low-block. Bosh from the high to the mid. JO plays much more of a back to the basket game, Bosh is almost exclusively a face up player.

and, ummmm, 'slightly' better D?

Yes, if you cared to actually look at his peripheral stats instead of his blocks column. Bosh's opponent's PER was 15.9 and JO's was 15.0. JO's career D Rating which is points allowed per 100 possessions is 99, Bosh's is 106. Thus, slightly better.

And JO is not a mid-block to low-block player. He plays the high screen and roll and he can consistently hit the 18 foot jumper. Otherwise he relies on isos. Sound familiar? The only thing I'll agree on is that Bosh is more face up, but that has nothing to do with WHERE they play, which is more important.

Thank you to all the season ticket holders for paying the inflated ticket prices and forfeiting another draft party. Jermaine is grateful too.

This better not be Bryan's big splash. I want more and I want it now. If this is the run we are going to make at a title then it is time to fire Sam right after JO ruins him in the locker-room.

i just hammer on people that say dumb things like 'i'm going to become a Blazers fan'. Hey, i think it's a great idea - one that you should definitely jump on immediately.

We have nothing left, this is the "Splash".
Unless BC is trading Bargs+Calderon for something good we are pretty much set in my opinion with the major moves.

5 pots per 100 possessions is slightly better than slightly.
and, JO has a fine low post game. They are not the same player.

JO knee problems are equal to VC's achilles problems leading up to that trade

VC looked done and there were major concerns about his achilles, change of scenory and amazingly he recovers. I really believe we are on the other end of that type of situation this time.

I'm not really worried about the "2 Bosh" thing ... so what if O'Neal has some similarities to Bosh.

Having "two Boshes" out there is helluva lot better than what we had before. They will clog the lane, tag team on the glass, block shots with their length, and just make the game overall easier for both.

And O'Neal is a much better defender than Bosh.

Nah a coaching change would be pointless because it'd take too much time for the players to gel with a new system. Maybe hire a new assistant coach like the Celtics (who if you forget won with Doc freaking Rivers as their coach).

But I agree, we still need to make one more big move (scoring wing).

Well, then we cancel the deal and be happy for dodging a bullet.

If he passes, this deal kicks ***.

Either way we win.

At least Kapono gets to play now instead of that hack Moon. He can start because his lack of defense isn't as crippling as before.

if he gets blocks, putbacks, and stays healthy i like it. huge salary but exactly the type of player the raps need. it makes me think of sheed and dyess and has the potential to make kapono more effective.
