Not sure what the highlights showed but he had his share of strips and general peskiness defensively. His height will hold him back but he puts in effort on that end of the floor as well.

His defensive motor and intensity was on point

He shot under 40% as a 5th year senior in college, seems okay as a catch and shoot guy, but not off the dribble or at the rim. I'm not going to get my hopes up as that seems like a guy that can be defended somewhat easily.

He is going to have to become an above average shooter and develop a good floater to stick in the nba. Otherwise his size is always going to outweigh the good he can do.

He can play.

He was the best player on the floor by far. The kid can really ball. I hope they give him some run this year.

Nowell/OG/Barnes/Siakam/Poeltl will be fun to watch any 3 of them can make some 3pters lol.

He will always have issue finishing at rim and with deflected passes but his passing ability and feel for the game looks miles ahead of others who were on the court. He also seemed to annoy on defense

Hopefully people remember that he will be 24 by the end of this year and is heavily undersized. Otherwise, he has a lot of FVV/Marcus Smart and some Nembhard in him. He can really play and should be good enough to get some run with the NBA team here and there.

I'm rooting for him, but it's no surprise he's doing well in summer league - everyone knows he can ball at lower levels. The question is how much it's going to translate at the NBA

This age discrimination needs to stop. Do people even know the history of this age narrative ? The 1996 draft, with the John Wallace situation ?

This has actually been a strength of this front office. Other teams seem to overlook older prospects which is why we found late round/undrafted guys like Delon, Siakam, Fred, Norm and now possibly Nowell.

I think this one’s a dude. He can play. I’m ready to set unrealistic expectations and have a fun time doing it. He’s easy to root for.

It all comes down to his shooting. Watching him in SL, he can play at NBA speed, makes good reads, great hands and makes good enough decisions, but at his height it all doesn't matter if he can't shoot consistently. Defenses will just play the pass all day.

He couldn't even shoot over 38% from the field in college. He not making the team, this is just some fodder for summer league.

He's really ball dominant but I guess it makes sense since his best skill is passing. When he's not making great passes though he's the epitome of **** raptors basketball that we hated from last season. Dribble dribble dribble. In spot minutes he can probably be a sparkplug st the nba level for a jolt of energy. Needs to work on his catch and shoot game.

He needs to be a high volume three point shooter at his size but he's not quite there. I'd rather have Dick handling the ball in these games and getting 10+ TOs just to help him develop there. Nowell is not going to be in the league and he will struggle against the GLeaguers.
