Looks like a two-way and summer league Chomche. This will be a fun team and it sounds like they will develop all these players in-house.

So we're just waiting on the trade to go through? Hopefully this isn't Lewenberg speculating with realgmers or Michael Grange, and he's actually heard from the horse's mouth.

Assuming we could have gotten him as a UDFA, signing a 2 way would have made drafting him pointless and a waste of 1m.

Watching him in the Jordan Brand classic for the world team against cooper flag. He definitely looks like he belongs. Very active and smart. Smarts is the most important part. He made a nice back door pass to VJ from the top of the 3 Point line. If he belongs against his age group then this isn't just some experiment. He's just young in age and development/structure time. A project sure, not an experiment tho.

Jokim Noah seeked him out early & out him under his wing. Called him his young brother.

Reporter to Chomche: what's the best advice Noah has given you?

Chomche: Never let anyone on the court out work you!

This guy has the most potential. A problem he'll have early on is being assertive. He needs hog rebounds, ask for the ball, use his wingspan, and he needs to be a bully.

The hope is that Joakim Noah gave him that mindset. Being selfish when it comes to rebounds, touches, and making yourself readily available is important for someone seeking a long career.

Yeah being a man child, this summer league I don't really care about skills. I want to see the mindset that he's not shy about throwing his body around.

Interesting video showing some Chomche's personality with his peers. Totally different demeanor than in the interviews I've seen.

Definitely a different mentality than Bruno though.

I don't think that's an issue with this guy at all. In the BAL he was super aggressive, to a point his shot selection is questionable lol . But you have to try things in game to get better at, so I respect that. He tried threading the needle, dribbling off the bounce from the three point line, all sorts of stuff with mixed results. Hopefully he tries stuff out in the G league. I'm anticipating a bad year efficiency wise his first year, but hopefully he'll get much better in his 2nd year.

It's hard to improve if you're afraid of making mistakes. This is great insight. It seems like you've watch him play. What do you think is his most NBA ready skill? Where does he need to improve the most?

I just watched a video a few days ago that was posted. its like 3 hours of all his plays, I didn't watch all of it. but there were lots of missed 3s, drives with wild layup attempts and pass attempts that ended in turnovers. But also lots of nice flashes of awesome plays. especially defensively where his agility is insane. He'd attempt to take these fake kinda charges, then when dump off to the dunker spot happened, he'd rotate and block the dunk attempt. He has a lot to clean up but he was only 17/18 playing against men and he wasn't shy which is half the battle. I'd bet on him succeeding in a few years, especially he seems to have a great work ethic, great motor, and seems to loves the game. But to answer your question, I'm no scout but he does look super raw offensively so he needs polish. Not sure if he has an NBA ready skill already besides motor and maybe shotblocking,
