Kavaliauskas plays a lot, the coach wants to try him, but anyway, I dont think he will make it into the roster :)

He hasn't signed a contract with us officially yet, but his buyout is established so it's only a matter of time..likely he signs after our other FA signings so as not to take up cap space.

Kleiza looked like he had no chance at being able to guard Papanikoloau.

Anyone has a link?
I know there's a legal link somewhere, just don't know where to look.

Edit: Never mind, it's on the regular sites :)

between bargs and JV, I don't think we will have trouble guarding pick and rolls. They both seem to have great lateral quickness when motivated to D up.

he fouled the ballhandler once for an and-1 and since then he's been spot on. he's definitely quick enough, but I think it will take some time for him to get used to Casey's system and when to make his rotations. I'd be willing to throw him in the lion's den right off the get-go and let him make mistakes and learn. It would be good to have a mentor for him but I don't think Val is the type of player to give a lesser effort if handed minutes.

Everyone was out of sync, but for the most part, guards are to blame in this one. How many times Jonas was left to guard both, C and PG?

Jonas is a project. His D is lacking, he is all tools and not much else at this point. He did improved a lot tho, his pick and roll and on ball d used to be absolutely terrible.

Keep in mind also that this is the Greek national team. Even if it was basically their 2nd and 3rd unit players. That's a really serious level of competition. Valanciunas does not play against that level of competition during the season, more than a few times probably.

So there is a natural adjustment there.

I am not gonna hype this particular Greek Roster, but today they played very fast and left Lithuanians stunned.
By the way, congrats on Greece beating Russia yesterday, yellow to Karagounis was ridiculous.

This is why it's completely WRONG for Colangelo to try to make the playoffs next year. In order to do that we'll have to limit JV's minutes at least for the beginning, as he'll definitely make mistakes that'll cost us games.

It's just how Rookie's go.
