BC is the worst GM, but damn is he ever entertaining af. Some days I miss all the action he got involved in here and then common sense hits me and I realize that winning is far superior.

BC provides off-season entertainment; Masai provides in-season entertainment.

I think he means trading down for cap room. I.e 9+Ross for 11 or something (which is still pretty terrible unless we get another future pick too imo)

The way Ryan Wolstat sees the draft unfolding:

1. Philadelphia - Ben Simmons - Too much skill to pass up but lacks jumper.

2. L.A. Lakers - Brandon Ingram - Needs to get bigger, but scores with ease.

3. Boston - Kris Dunn - All-around stud, but duplicates Smart a bit.

4. Phoenix - Dragan Bender - Immense talent, but a risky pick.

5. Minnesota - Buddy Hield - Desperately need a lights-out shooter.

6. New Orleans - Jamal Murray - Ideal fit with Holiday future uncertain.

7. Denver - Marquese Chriss - Could go higher. Will take time but intrigues

8. Sacramento - Jaylen Brown - Skills must catch up to immense athleticism.

9. Toronto - Jakob Poeltl - Expect this to be dealt for cap room/pick.

Yes, Masai is going to trade away a top 9 pick just for pure cap space... Maybe the 27th, but we can definitely pick up a useful player at 9. Not mad with Poeltl at all - he will be our new back up C and we can use our MLE/Ross for a new PF.

i strongly believe one of Bender, Chriss or Brown fall.

Simmons
Ingram
Dunn (Philly)
Chriss/Bender
Hield
Murray
Bender/Brown
Baldwin
Bender/Brown/Chriss

I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

Yea I mean, I would rather keep Ross and Caroll than have to pay someone to take them (draft pick or trading down), they arent THAT bad.

I think too many ppl on banking on SAC taking Baldwin (or Sabonis) based on the workouts when in reality I really don't think they're going to pass on a superior player just because they didn't get them in for a workout and they need everything they can considering how unappealing they've become league wide.

I think Sacramento takes Jaylen Brown if he's there at 8.

If Masai did that the fans would revolt , just dump a #9 pick for cap space would be horrible .

Sacramanto takes Sabonis. Divac and Arvydas played against each other many times in the past....Vlade will take his son.

We take Brown

That was actually one of the first trade ideas that came to my mind for #9.

Don't really see how that could work anyway to make the most sense. The 9th pick makes only 2.1 million dollars. The 27th makes .9 million. But they could probably find a home for the 27th and Bebe and come up with more savings. Even if a future pick is coming back, it's too difficult to predict that that pick would be stronger than #9. If #9 is being packaged with a contract like Ross or Carroll, than that's a massive mismanagement of assets by Masai and it'll be the media will go after him. The potential for the move to come back to bite him (any player taken after 9 becoming a star) would be too intense to defend.
