Re: PG: Plan the Parade
Great day! Visiting from Calgary, wasn't planning to go to game today. Drove from Welland to Mississauga for big meeting with big client. Meeting went great, was feeling good and said "f**k it, I'm going to the game somehow".
Started hunting online for tickets at 5pm finally found somebody I trusted and price I wanted at 650pm, got into game right on time. The guy actually sent me the tickets first before I paid and let me go into the ACC before I sent him the money!
Sitting by myself was a bit weird at first but guys on both sides of me were awesome, they realised I was by myself and gave me high 5's and talking ball all night.
Some of my takeaways:
- Energy was great in the building, people were happy, cheering everything on the court even the entertainment during timeouts. The little girl from Lil Ballas, stole the show, she was awesome.
- Carrol... mother f'n Carrol lol, was awesome to start the game. DMC was inspired in the first half, surprised everyone in my section lol. Surprised he didn't get much burn in the second half to be honest.
- Team defence and the steals, there were so many tonight. Norm, Demar, Kyle, great help and double teams, flustered the Bucks for sure. Kyle taking charges as well, just like old times.
- JV such a beast, he shouldve have been brought in quicker to close the first half, but he was a difference maker for sure.
- Kyle was so sluggish in the first and killed it in the second. He wasn't himself for sure, he definitely laboured when he wasn't on the floor.
Felt like this game could have easily been a blowout earlier, but there was some pretty bad turnovers whenever we went on a run.
Anyways, thank you city of Toronto for the hospitality, it will be a night to remember!

His nicest of the night was the end to end where he got the screen on Snell around halfcourt, saw an opening to the net and threw down a vicious dunk. Bucks called a timeout after the play.

Each man is a burgher, or city councilmen, of Calais, and each has their own stance and identifiable features. However, while they may stand together with a sense of familiarity, none of them are making eye contact with the men beside them. Some figures have their heads bowed or their faces obscured by raised hands, while others try to stand tall with their eyes gazing into the distance. They are drawn together not through physical or verbal contact, but by their slumped shoulders, bare feet, and an expression of utter anguish.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Burghers_of_CalaisEngland's Edward III, after a victory in the Battle of Crécy, laid siege to Calais, while Philip VI of France ordered the city to hold out at all costs. Philip failed to lift the siege, and starvation eventually forced the city to parley for surrender.
According to medieval writer Jean Froissart, Edward offered to spare the people of the city if six of its top leaders would surrender themselves to him, presumably to be executed. Edward demanded that they walk out wearing nooses around their necks, and carrying the keys to the city and castle. One of the wealthiest of the town leaders, Eustache de Saint Pierre, volunteered first, and five other burghers joined with him.[2] Saint Pierre led this envoy of volunteers to the city gates. It was this moment, and this poignant mix of defeat, heroic self-sacrifice, and willingness to face imminent death that Rodin captured in his sculpture, scaled somewhat larger than life.
Although the burghers expected to be executed, their lives were spared by the intervention of England's queen, Philippa of Hainault, who persuaded her husband to exercise mercy by claiming that their deaths would be a bad omen for her unborn child. (Her son, Thomas of Windsor, only lived for one year.)

You couldn't hear this watching that I don't think... but lots of us were chanting "JV, JV..." when he started walking back, he flexed, and the whole place joined in and was chanting his name. Was a cool moment.

I been a die hard Basketball fan since I first watched it when I was young but a little disappointed in myself that i've never been to a Raptors game for all these 30 years I lived in Toronto; Some Fan I am T_T
What's stopping you bro? Tickets pregame were going for $80-$120 for the upper bowl, maybe cheaper. If you live in the city invest in going to a playoff game, the atmosphere is worth it.
I might go 2nd round if we make it

to be fair, seeing the bucks pretty much dominate us for 3 games, capping it with that embarassment in game 3, it really did look like the series was over for us... our offense was struggling, we couldnt contain giannis or their shooters... we look so overmatched and outclassed.

Re: PG: Plan the Parade
I definitely thought it was over after game 3. The difference in quality of play between our two teams was just too massive to think any one adjustment would turn the entire table around. Though that's what happened when we started Norman Powell.
