Serious question: Is Scotty our best player thus far this year? I think he is, and I don't think it is particularly close.

Those Draymond comparisons are starting to look pretty bad right now. Not that Draymond is a bad player, he's an excellent player and was a very important piece to Golden State's championship run. But Scottie can do things that Draymond simply can't do.

Barnes was supposed to be a defensive first passing big, but instead he's a scorer/rebounder. He played us!

with the low assist number it seems he is playing it safe. Same with gambling for steals right now. He held his turnovers very low in 5 of the 7 games and 4 have been wins. Seems like something Nurse told him. Don't turn it over and we got a good chance to win.

I've been very careful not to pump the tires on this kid because I think on social and radio people are going wacky over a rookie who hasn't had a bad game yet.

With that said, he's basically the next Kevin Garnett. The comparisons are uncanny.

Definitely not.

I'd argue Scottie's upside is much higher and Zion's durability is a serious concern.

When pascal comes back I imagine the assist numbers go up. Will be tracking Pascal/Barnes PnR frequency and it’s effectiveness.

Definitely prefer Barnes. Aside from the injury issues, Zion isn’t a good defender while Barnes is elite on both ends. Barnes has a leadership mentality too
