Bosh, Calderon, Bargnani and Humphries isn't enough young talent for you? I'll take a team that wins more games alongside those guys, thanks. Let other franchises play farm team for the rest of the NBA for a change while the Raptors compete.

Where does this leave Primo? I think he can still play and with Rasho gone I can see him resigning here as an extra big.

Anyone know why this salary can't go through without a filler?

As Ford's BYC goes up on the 1st, he would be paid $8,275,000, while Rasho will make $7,840,000 or maybe more since that was his salary this year. Which comes to $16,115,000 while Jermaine get's paid $19,728,000 which comes to $14,796,000 with the 25% marker, so wouldn't that work in theory. Also factor in the $1.5M for the draft pick?

I said i was indifferent to lukewarm about the proposed deal before. I'm at around lukewarm, although i wish we could have kept our pick.

Kelly Dwyer of Yahoo likes the deal for us.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_d ... =nba,90275

Either way, this is a good and needed deal for both teams. Even at 60 games a year, O'Neal is a needed defender and finisher on the break or in Toronto's preferred slow-down set. He can run a screen and roll and the two bookends of Jermaine and Chris Bosh will be a tough cover on either end. Non-NBA pundits have blanched at the amount of money the injury-prone O'Neal will make over the next few years, but they never seem to remember that Toronto is sending out just as much salary to take in O'Neal's big contract.
