Thank you.
The biggest sign for me was right after the foul was called, when the game was in the balance. The camera clearly shows Jay Triano and his assistants docile around their bench while the insane coach of the Venezuela team is up, in the refs face, screaming like an insane man to call the foul. Stuff like that wins games. The difference in this game was a very small margin.
Canada had a huge advantage but the team came in pretty rattled and stayed that way throughout the game. The coach needs to relax his players but at the same time be the dominant force that gives them confidence. There was no confidence shown in Jay`s players today. He basically benched Bennett, arguably the core of the team this year. He benched Stauskas for the wrong reasons. He had no trust in Cojo to play through fouls. He didn`t run any plays for Wiggins after the first play of the game. But worst of all, he didn`t fight for his team when the game was in the balance.
TL:DR After careful analysis, coaching was the biggest factor in Canada losing the game
