Nobody will offer him starting money, or anything long-term. I would have extended him at $4-5 per last summer but now I'm thinking a move to China would be brilliant for him.

I still think he is talented and preferred for him to pan out for us, but the kid just cant shake that injury bug.

It's a sign of how great they've been that teams are inquiring about Bargs and Jose.

We would need to get rid of DD, but where do I sign? Harden is going to be an all-star.

Derozen is small forward and you keep him as small forward ...

You can sign up for this trade in your pipe dreams.

There is absolutely no reason why OKC would make this deal.

He may play like a small forward at times, but by his own admission he is 6'5" (forget the 6'7" crap, he says that's bull) and that's not nearly tall enough the way he would play the position.

If Jennings is not in play Raps should just take Devin Harris + Draft pick for Jose, call it a night, If Harris works out great.. if he doesn't.. go after Jennings in free agency (same year Harris expires)

The fact that he's been involved in rumors for the past three years and the fact that there was a trade verbally agreed upon before the 10-11 season. (The one to the bobcats)

what draft pick do you expect to get from the Jazz? Right now the Jazz keep their pick if it's in the lottery this year (if it's not, the Wolves get it), and they own the Warriors pick, top 7 protected as well. Those picks are at #11 and #12 right now, so while the Jazz would keep both, I definitely don't see them moving either pick to upgrade from Harris to Jose.

Being a Thunder fan (second to being a Raptors fan of course) I can confidently say there is no way in HELL OKC bites on this. Even if you include this year's first and Bargnani instead of Jose, they are a championship contending team with a young core. Why start messing wit it? The only thing I can see them making a move for is an inside scorer (Ed Davis does not qualify as inside scorer) and they still aren't moving Durant, Westbrook or Harden for that.

I think this deadline we get rid of Jose, and really it isn't idealistic to trade bargs unless you're winning the deal. His value's been high but he's been injured most of the season, and if he continues his play into next year, it'll only go higher and perhaps we can get something good out of it.

Just because you are willing to trade a player for a top-tier center does not mean he is "on the trading block".

Plus, as far as I know, that is the last time the Raptors have had serious discussions about trading Calderon.

Hardly "on the block" if you asked me.

TrueToCaesar wrote:Don't kid yourself, the difference between them is not just "One guy blocks more shots, the other guy rebounds more but besides that they're the same".

Magloire can't really do anything at a high level... Reggie was a tough defender that played mind games and was one of the best rebounders in THE LEAGUE. He was leading the league for a while IIRC.

I am going to have to disagree with you on that one.

While Reggie is an Elite rebounder his defense was not even close to being good. Calling him a tough defender is false. Sure he not afraid to rub a guys nuts to make him think twice before backing into him but that didn't make him tough or smart.

And While Reggie got us 3-4 extra shots with his offensive rebounding he usually wasted two of them with dumb offfensive attempts.

Magloire gives us an equal if not more amount of toughness, veteran leadership, and is a bigger body that can defend Centers.

With Bargs being a PF this year Reggie was pretty freaking redundant as he useless as a center. So one trick pony has no spot on our team (and I like reggie )

Seems like a trade is closer. ALvaro Martin, ESPN comentator twitted this:

AlvaroNBAMartin Alvaro Martin
TorontoSun: offers for #JoseManuelCalderon and his $10.5 million expiring contract "piling in", but if traded, who would play the point?

So keeping Calderon & making us 5th worst is a better option?
