Let's say
C. Valanciunas
PF. Bargnani
SF. Kirilenko or Gay/Iguodala (if we manage to get them without wasting our pick)
SG. Derozan
PG. Lillard
That's realistic. If we don't get Nash, ship Calderon, then we better pick Lillard.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

25 ppg on 15 shots, only good comments from coaches, very determined to be a better player at every level.

How do you suppose we get Gay or Igoudala without giving up the 8th OR DeRozan?!?

A MUST read SI article, PLEASE BC find a way to draft Lillard!!!!!
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/w ... index.html

If the three men who robbed Lillard at gunpoint at the Eastmont bus station had filed their own scouting report, you can bet there would have been a check next to the "toughness" category. Lillard stood alone around 8:30 p.m. after a basketball practice with Oakland High School when the three men approached him just down the street from a police station. They told him to give up his goods -- everything in his pockets and in a backpack that contained his schoolwork and about $20. Lillard refused.
Those skills will be honed against Payton soon. The Glove -- as he was known during his defensively dominant days with the Seattle SuperSonics -- shares agents with Lillard (the Oakland-based Aaron Goodwin) and is planning to work out with him before the draft.
"Oakland breeds toughness, and guys who don't back down and will guard whoever," Lillard said. "So I definitely want to hold that standard so people see that I'm an Oakland guard. I've got that same fire to me as those other guards, and hopefully I'll prove myself."

There is SO MUCH more good reading material in the rest of the article!

Enjoy

it seems portland will take him at 6 and solve their pg problem.

quoted as having lots of on court swagger and confidence, challenging all other prospects. would be a nice pick if we kept ours.

Damian Lillard really helped himself last 2 days. Shot ball well. Competed. Just measured with a 36" inch standing and 40" full vertical.

Rumors of Sullinger going 7 & Lillard going 8 could mean Hornets have to look elsewhere. Next guy on their board is likely Rivers or Henson

Adam Francis ‏@raptorshq

Lots of Buzz for Lillard at NBA Draft Combine - Good early reviews for our favourite option at 8 for #Raptors. http://sbn.to/LILC6F

Chad Ford ‏@chadfordinsider

Damian Lillard 6'1.75" socks 6' 2.75" shoes and 6' 7.5" wing 8' 0" reach

Joshua Priemski ‏@HoopPlusTheHarm

@WolstatSun Lillard is Bayless, just crappier.

What's funny is that I had lunch with Terrence Ross' agent yesterday. We talked about every possible scenario. Toronto never came up.

Lillard has physical tools of a top 5 pick, 6'3 PG 40' inch max vert 6'8 wingspan.
Derrick Rose 6'3 PG 40' inch max vert 6'8 wingspan. He was MVP and 1st pick.

I was already on board for possibly picking Lillard because of his exceptional advanced statistics, now add in impressive combine numbers and I am sold.

Even if we sign Nash I still want Lillard with our pick

Considering how glowing his workouts and interviews have been I'm afraid Lillard goes at 6 now.

My issue is that we still don't know how developed his PG skills are. That being said it seems like his upside is very high.

Pretty crazy that some team is going to have this guy on a rookie scale contract as he's entering his prime years of 25-26. Talk about awesome value for cap management. Some of the other teams may be drafting guys who'll only be starting to showcase potential just as their rookie scale contracts up for extension (like the situation we find ourselves in with Derozan this coming season).

Definitely pulling for this guy no matter what happens.
