The guy is gifted no doubt. I don't know if I want him on the team or not, but I'd be thrilled if he moved up and someone more skilled fell to us.

Perry Jones and Terrence Jones worked out yesterday for the Golden State Warriors. Neither player "wowed" the Warriors, not likely to be drafted by GSW. PJIII had trouble hitting his mid-range shots, "both Joneses are missing some elements the Warriors are looking for in a small forward."

That could be true or it could be a smoke screen.. You just never know these days

A smokescreen for what? Neither player was projected to be taken at #7. Why tell your fanbase that these aren't the guys and then draft them?

Not surprising since G State want's a 3 and both are tweener's today. If PJ3 can work on his handles it'll help him to get where he needs on the floor to play the 3 and get his offense off.

Out of the 2, PJ3 has the better shot at playing the 3 full time imo and given the development and his determination to play the position he may get there.

Forwards Terrence Jones [Kentucky] and Perry Jones
III [Baylor] worked out against each other in front of
the Golden State Warriors on Monday and both were
disappointed after it was done. According to the San
Francisco Chronicle, Jones from Baylor said he was
nervous during his first team workout and he could
not make mid-range jump shots. Jones from Kentucky
said defending small forward or power forwards in the
NBA will be difficult.

this was taken from nba insider. pj3's answer would add fuel to the fire that hes soft and would rather coast along in games rather than dominate as his talent and athletisicm would allow him. again I mentioned that his stats from last year barely improved from this yeat which is not a great sign to begin with.

I was hoping Terrence would impress the Warriors enough for them to pick him. We need someone to fall dammit.
PJ3 having trouble with his shot isn't encouraging, but isn't really surprising either. If the guy was able to consistenly hit shots, he would be a top 5 pick. Not 8-15. If we draft him, we really need to have a lot of patience. He's one of those guys who might be worth the long term investment, especially when we know BC will be trying to win now and as a result we may not have another chance to draft someone with that much pure talent for quite a while. Still though, I'm hoping someone a little safer falls to us.

When you lack any sort of killer instinct .. You have little hope of making it in the NBA.
I wouldn't be surprised if he is the last one n the green room (if he even gets invite).

He has talent, but that means nothing if your head is not in it right. POB and PJ attitudes are very similar

If that solidifies Sullinger at 6 and Lillard at 8 we'll have the Jone's to thank.

Well does that mean then, for Barnes lovers, if Barnes slips past Cle.. and most assuredly gets picked by the Warriors that a coin flip cost the Toronto Raptors the great Harrison Barnes?!?! :o

Or maybe we shouldn't blame it on an inanimate object such as a coin, but rather the Hawks, or Celtics, or Raptors tanking efforts

Well I'm going to blame Alan Anderson!

No need to troll just because you don't like Barnes.

Obvious answer is obvious....so figure it out.

***and if we're going to trip about positioning we sealed our own fate worse than the coin flip did when all we had to was lose the last game of the season and we'd have the 6th pick overall...which could be where one of Beal, Drummond or Barnes land there***

Oh I'm not trolling. I'm lamenting. I guess I'm still not over the way the season ended.. you know picking up foolish wins.

I'd actually be ecstatic if we could grab a dropping Barnes given our current position. But that possibility just decreased significantly with the Warriors not being enamored with the workouts of the two Joneses. We needed them to fall in love with one of them... and reports suggest that didn't happen..
