Meh, I dont think it matters anymore that you guys tanked to face us. Indiana is looking vulnerable and so is Chicago. You guys could of made the ECF potentially, now at best its a 2nd round exit. Kidd is a dumb ass and it's clear his assistants make the real coaching decisions.

I think the tanking was less about facing you and more about avoiding chicago.

Also, we would not have made the ECF as a 5 seed. we would have at best lost to the bulls in 6 or 7 games. And personally i think it would be closer to 5 or 6 games. I wanted no part of the bulls.

Smart by Nets to tank in order to get Toronto it looks like. Theyre clearly shook. The GM has lost his mind and the young guys mentioned being nervous.

Its risk and reward. Kidd could of taken his chances with Chicago and if it paid off, you guys would of went to the ECF. Regardless I predicted Nets in 6 over us and im sticking with it simply because of the inexperience.

The key is game 4. I think we'll win game 2 and lose game 3. The question is can we steal a game on the road? If we can this goes to 7 games and I dont know if you guys can beat us in game 7 at the ACC.

"shook" lmao. They were nervous because of the atmosphere and the hype surrounding the playoffs. It has nothing to do with the Nets. The GM made a smart tatical move.

It brought more attention to the team, allowed him to establish an image of isolation and a hard nosed city while firing back at the Nets because of the disrespect they showed by tanking.

If anything the Nets screwed themselves over. They could of faced Chicago, faced a struggling Indiana team and went to the ECF. Instead they are bound for a 2nd round exit.

Honestly the whole playoffs hype is nothing more but myth. Watched all the game ones and its the same play with increased urgency. If you played 82 4th quarters in the league then playoffs hype is nothing but mental.

Not being biased but I thought the Toronto-Brooklyn game was the only one that felt like a real playoff game. The rest felt like the regular season.

What was smart about Toronto GM's antics? It got the Nets curiosity and attention. Its backfired badly. Also on a more tangible note it makes the GM look immature and I can see him having a marginally tougher time working with executives around the league. Nets GM BIlly King has many friends.

Chicago has experience and a track record. Its basically unheard of to tank for a higher seeded team, Toronto is making Kidd look genius.

What chances? Slim and none? other then the heat there is no team id rather face less then the bulls. we were not going to beat them. and ill take losing in round 2 vs. miami over losing to the bulls in round 1 in a beatdown

i honestly dont think the nets arent winning another road game in the playoffs this year, if we want to win, we have to win games 3,4, and 6. then again i didnt think we would win ONE road game at all, and i was wrong on that

losing to the heat in round 2 vs. round 3 really is no different for me.

Getting bounced in round 1 vs. getting bounced in round 2 however makes a big difference to me. being 1 and done sucks. losing to miami at any point is no shame in my mind.

Lets keep your bias as a Nets fan out of this. I chose Nets in 6 and I'm a Raptor fan.

Not really. Everyone is calling the Nets pussies for tanking. Masai saying **** the Nets is retaliation for that. The Nets did what they had to, to get a favorable matchup. Masai did whatever he have to to send a message

Its sparked up a feud and it just made this series more competitive. Its risk and reward. If Kidd beat Chicago he goes to the ECF. Even if the Nets get past us, they're out in the 2nd round because Lebron will go game 6 on them for the entire series.

Being competitive and hostile is part of sports, who cares what other forums do, we shouldn't suspend anyone unless they do something really severe.
