If we sign Lowry to 13mil+, we are basically losing either 2-3 of Vasquez, Nando, Patterson or MLE. There is no reason to go into the luxury with this team, none. It would be stupid and be a waste of money. You have to remember that these players are RFA, they will likely get offers from other teams.
You also have to remember that Ross and Valanciunas won't be on rookie deals forever and DeRozan might be looking for big raise as well. AND this team still needs loads of talent aside from what it already has. And locking in Lowry at too much money might hinder those processes.




















Posted the very same info here recently. Anyway, hopefully we didn't overpay, but whatever the figures, Masai and TL said all along this is where Kyle would end up, so the numbers are ones they can live with.
