I have said it in this thread and I will repeat it, because it is painfully obvious.
Mark Jones has been at ESPN since 1990.
I watch alot of ESPN content via the Sports Pack -- College Basketball, College Football. We get some NBA coverage up here. We get some of there midday talk shows on TSN. We get Baseball Tonight and ESPN Baseball. Is he on Sportscenter - nope.
Where is Mark Jones on any of it? He has limited broadcast roles for the NBA. He get's some games when ESPN has many games on the go, and they have to use the lower tier announcers for some games.
He is literally as low as any ESPN rookie broadcaster. He is bottom of the barrel at ESPN. While he has had some success by getting to ESPN in the first place, it has to be humiliating to be at the bottom of the barrel for so long, and get passed up time after time.
A few years back, FOX Sports, NBC Sports. and CBS Sports all Expanded. They needed voices and took some lower tier people from ESPN and gave them nice raises. Mark Jones was not one of them -- one can only assume they did not want him.
The guy is a bitter man about his career and takes it out in Canada to feel better about himself.
