Those guys aren't like each other, but closer to Daniels with more speed/athleticism. He's pretty close in type to Scottie.

He did take 93 attempts so he was not afraid to shoot. He had a lot of possession where he sits in the corner and has the three available to him and the defense sags off him. I think it led to a lot of his sneaky good cuts to the rim that led to his dunks.
In seeing this new footage and how he has been working with Steph Curry's trainer, we might have some growth from Black with the shooting. Overall, I am not concerned and would take him over guys like Cason Wallace, Keyonte, NSJ, JHS without hestitation.
It's not just the shooting, it's also the turnovers which are very high too. He's a very good, but not elite defender and he's a little too skinny to become a top defender in the NBA as well. He's more of a guy that can switch on to 1s and 2s, but not elite 3s due to a lack of strength. That's fine and he'll be above average on defense in the NBA, but I don't see him ever becoming elite. The problem is the offense, he's quite a boom/ bust guy as if he develops a shot he can be very good, but skinny guys who get to the rim in college well don't always do so well at getting to the rim in the NBA unless they're really tall (6'9+)
Will he ever be a really good shooter? Probably not, but if he can be a decent one then he can be a positive NBA player. That's a big if though, and he also needs to clean up the turnovers too which is a bit of a red flag when it comes to prospects.
The lack of shooting and carelessness with the ball makes me think he busts completely a small to medium percent of the time. It's also not a good fit with the current roster, I see him struggling as a rookie until he can develop the offense a lot more. I don't hate him as a prospect, but there are enough red flags where I put him more in that 12-20 range on my big board and specifically for the Raptors he would be closer to 20 when it comes to fit.

Is he more like a Doug Christie?

He's the only guy I wouldn't mind drafting out of the offensively challenged players that people are floating in this thread.

Ya, just an inch taller and bouncier, so more dunks!HumbleRen wrote:Psubs wrote:HumbleRen wrote:Anthony Black is more like Derrick White or Dyson Daniels. Giddey is in another stratosphere as a playmaker, he shouldn't be compared to them.

Not a bad comp tbh.

After watching the video of Kenny Lofton smashing Wemby around, I wonder how highschoolish is this league? When you watch highlights, there doesn't seem to be many players over 6'8. So really Coulibaly doesn't have to worry about shot-blockers and can shoot 3's over other players with ease. Move the line back, and add some rim protectors, does he play better than Mojave King? Likely more steals and blocks, maybe slightly better 3pt shooting. Does he have a better season than Cissoko in the G-League? I guess he has more potential to be Mikal Bridges.
