I don’t think Minnesota trades Naz Reid. He is like some kind of folk hero there. I think they just wait to see how playoff go and if it goes poorly address the financial issues in the offseason. I don’t see them making a money move with a key piece when things are finely going well for that franchise.

yeah no chance they let him go, has one of the best contracts in the league, he should be starting

Can't be wasting our capspace on Rui.

Won't have this much cap space for awhile since we'll be extending quickley and probably maxing out Barnes next summer.

I am a bit sceptical that we can get Grimes + 1st pick + Fournier (filler) for Bruce Brown jr.

He did a little tweak that I found interesting.

Brown + OKC 2024 1st (our worst 1st) for Grimes, Fournier + 2025 MIL 1st

I like the flip b/w 2024 to 2025

Basically we would trade Brown for Grimes , a filler and arguably improving the value of our worst pick received in the Siakam trade.

I'm okay with this if they add any future 2nd pick.

I would be ecstatic

I can’t see Lakers doing that

I could be wrong but they likely say to Masai, Rui plus choose one between JHS, Christie and 2029 first. And that’s if they put a FRP on the table.

I can’t be wrong though.

A deal surrounding a 1st pick plus expiring fillers like Fournier just make more sense to me rather than a deal surrounding Rui IMO

I think the Lakers versus NYK is basically Masai trying to make both FO increase their offer.

Should Lakers put 2029 1st in the table, then Masai can convince the NYK to do the same.

Hopefully we can get a first. Don’t care how bad or protected the 1st is. Hopefully we still keep cap space flexibility .

Expiring + 1st for Brown and i will be happy

The rest is gravy IMO.

Perfect trade

Jones is OG-lite

Nance a big body can shoot 3s

Deal with it.

Is 1.5 seasons of "challenging the core players" really gonna make a big difference compared to other possible future/long-term trade assets?

You’d think after seeing the trade value of 3 OF OUR TOP 4 PLAYERS decline (hell, chuck Lowry in that pile too) over the past 3 years because we waited too long to trade them our fanbase would have a come to Jesus moment about moving guys when their value is the highest. Yet here we are, talking about holding onto a guy who expires next year on a team that is currently going nowhere. Our fanbase has the memory of a goldfish.

Why would NOP do this trade? Jones might be better than Brown (high end defender who shoots better). He’s also locked in at the MLE for multiple years.

Nance is their small ball C who unlocks their best lineups because he can defend and shoot.

What incentive is there for NOP to make this trade?

They get Bruce for playoff push.

They can decline Bruce team option and save $23M on cap. They need to pay Murphy and expensive deals signed for Ingram, Zion, McCollum.

I don't like anything from the Lakers, maybe Christie but just him alone isn't enough we gotta replace OG's 3&D if we not getting a super good first

Wonder if Dallas is still interested

Bobby better not fcuk up this trade of Brown as he did Siakam trade. Brown's price should be 2 FRPs or 1 FRP + 1 young player.

This trade make sense:

Thunder receive: Bruce Brown

Raptors receive: Davis Bertans, 2025 top-six protected first-round pick via Sixers, 2027 first-round pick

Lol so if Bobby flips Brown for 2 FRPs, how exactly did he screw Siakam's trade up? 5 first round picks for an expiring Siakam is a HAUL. Heck, even if the FO flips Bobby for 1FRP + quality player - they will have perfectly executed the Siakam trade.

I'd take salary filler + a future FRP. They're gonna be bad when LeBron retires.

Should be interesting if there is another team that can give us what we're looking for.

2 interesting aspects of this to me that haven't been discussed enough:

1) Raptors won't hold Brown's bird rights even if they pick up his TO for next season, and the Raptors almost certainly won't be operating as a cap space team once Scottie's rookie max kicks in plus IQ will be in year 2 of his new deal, so without any sort of financial advantage to retain him he almost certainly leaves for the Knicks/Lakers or any team other than the Raptors let's be real. This is a guy who will sign elsewhere by the 2025 offseason at the latest if not traded by then, so IMO he will probably be moved by then.

2) Masai is getting grilled by casuals for the Siakam trade so far, and may feel that if he does well on a Bruce Brown trade he can both extract more value and improve the aggregate return in the eyes of casuals.
My Masai/Bobby-type FRP Barttorvik queries: 4/4, zero misses

Find the teams that were interested in OG Anunoby and start there, I’m sure there’s another team given the level of interest OG received.

Aggregate return from the Pascal trade about to improve.

This proposal is ****ing stupid

Brown is supposed to be the asset netting a benefit. All this trade does is downgrade our asset from Brown to Grimes and provide a 'fingers' crossed hope that Milwaukee's pick is worse than OKC's pick this year.
