Yeah right, when has Masai played hard ball with agent, he'll get 3 years easy, hopefully it's not 40 mill per. WE've always paid our free agents well, look at the kelly contract that was handed out after we acquired, had no reason to give him another year, doubtful other teams were going to give kelly 2 years deal in the offseason for more than MLE.

My guess is if we made this deal, we have an idea what the agent/Ingram wants, and we are going to pay it.

On a longer term deal he'd want a pay raise from his current 35 million. I don't think we'd give him a long term deal larger than Scottie's off rip and coming off an injury.

The 2+1 will probably be front loaded but allow him to play himself into his next contract by age 30. If he looks like a stud after 2 seasons he can opt out then go for one last longer term deal with high annual value. If he gets injured again or sucks then he opts in and possibly looks to extend on a team friendly deal

Not bad although the fit is weird. Almost feels like we are back to square one with a slightly younger Pascal and a bit more talent.

Trading Pascal was supposed to free up Scottie since they both cannot shoot threes and have overlapping skillsets. Ingram barely shoots the three, Scottie shoots it very poorly and now Siakam is shooting 40% from downtown this season lol.

I have been very down on this team but if we can lock in a good pick in the upcoming draft we could turn this around very quickly.

It may look like it on paper, but it's not actually the case. Scottie and Pascal were a bad fit because they're both 4s and need to play inside. Ingram is a perimeter player and very much a 3. The fit is pretty good, especially with Scottie's ability to pass and facilitate.

3 games is a fair amount, we lost a 3 way tie not that long ago. Got the 3rd worst position!

Also he never fit with Zion, and while Barnes and Zion are different, we're still talking about PFs who can't really shoot as their co-star.

I watched a decent amount of NO games and I feel like Zion doesn't really mesh with anyone, he just does his own thing and puts up monster stats.

Whereas someone like Barnes is moving the ball and trying to get teammates involved. I think he'll have much better chemistry playing with Scottie.

Zion has been hurt enough that we can see what Ingram is like without him. It's still classic "doesn't understand modern shot selection, too many long 2s" stuff.

The more I look at it, the more I think this is a gamble on Ingram needing to play in Darko's "0.5 offense" and hoping that will turn him into a more efficient offensive player.

I see these teams like Memphis and OKC and their wings mostly look like and play like football players, and RJ/Dick/Ingram give off more of a runway model/pole vaulter slenderman vibe. And I think that hurts you on defence a lot.

Yep this deals upside depends on the 2025 draft pick....We have to get very lucky on lotto night because the upside of Ingram/Barnes as your main players is play in fodder year after year.

Except the Kawhi trade was made with a multiple time 50 win team, not a multiple time 20 win team. It's kinda weird that people see that he didn't give up anything of value, and think that, that was him making a great trade, and not the inverse.

That's because some of us thinks Ingram is good when healthy, his offensive game adds to what we are missing at a position of need.

He has literally never been healthy, outside of his rookie year, what part of that do you not comprehend? Our core 3 scorers are 55, 56, and 53% TS% players, when were we missing inefficient scorers, cause I'm pretty sure we've had those for years.

I was replying to the trade aspect part. Yes as a Raptor fan in going to hope for some injury health, but getting BI for what we sent out, a playmaking 3 with some scoring chops and a pull up jumper, all things we desperately need, then that's a pretty easy deal to make
