Game ball should go to Chucky tonight. The way that he's made amazing plays on both ends to get this win to the Raps, I'm in awe of what I'm watching.

Summer league revenge is sweet.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

CMB and Walter both need minutes. I wouldn't give up on Gradey either. He's definitely got something there but we have to wait and unlock it. We have a very good bench developing for us.

IQ and Barnes are kind of being displaced. They need to figure out what their role is and have a sit down with Darko. Where do they need the ball to score? How can they get it there? Darko needs to be figuring that out in real time.

CMB led the team in assists. He knows basketball and how to win, he was a great pick

Not too worried about IQ, he’s too good a shooter to struggle for long. But…he’s not a point guard. And Scottie’s not magic/lebron so we’re going to find out how soon we’re going to abandon the idea of those two being primary playmakers.

On a positive note, CMB is fun to watch and he’s really just hustling and playing his role. Once he develops some refined skills we have something special.

RJ and Ingram are going to have to be our 1-2 in the pecking order. That’s the best option.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Another unwarranted game takeaway...

1.Brandon MF Ingram - This guy makes basketball look so easy on the offensive end. Seeing this team play, especially without Scottie, and the game looked so fluid offensively, is largely because of Ingram. Get this guy the ball, period!
2. CMB - I knew he'd be better after the last game, but I didn't think he would look this good. The hustle is real. The defense is real. The feel for the game is real. Given the right situation, he MAY get a triple double this year.
3. Chucky Hepburn - I love how composed he played in the 4th quarter. I don't think much of him, except that he is a pain in the ass for players to play against. He showed his ability to calm the team down, make timely shots, clutch shots, timely passes and steals. I'll be watching him play for the 905 this year.
4. Sandro - I love this guy! Played 17 minutes tonight, but he was so effective in the time he played. He's so refreshing to watch as a backup big. I may be crazy for saying this, but I see sprinklings of Raptors' legend Garbojosa in his game. He'll be a fan favourite this year.
5. Gradey D - Definitely a bounce back game, and it was good to see. Hopefully, he will build off of this and be more consistent this year.
6. Ja'Kobe - You can still see the inexperience with him, but he scored in so many different ways tonight. His pressure defensively was felt, and his offensive versatility was on full display tonight. Consistency is the key with him, too.

Why is it like a definitive narrative everywhere that this has to be a bad offensive team?

Dont we have like 4 guys who can score 18-20ppg in our starting lineup who could in theory be much more efficient? + Poeltl one of most efficient Centers?

As well as bench guys like - Obaji / Dick /CMB who should get big mins and could all be efficient?

It seems all this "max out at 40 wins or .500" revolves around the premise this team will DEFINITELY struggle to score and be a bad offense..why?
