Lee is going to be getting a huge deal that I dont want anywhere near this team even if it means getting rid of Turk. I think it will be a lot easy to trade Caldy ( someone is going to need a pg) and get a centre to fit with Hedo and Bargs than to get a front court of Bargs and Lee to work.

Do you really see this team doing anything?

What if she just didnt get Lee and Gallo. I would rather have Beasley...no lies

Let's not set our sights too high. I'll be grading the CB4 S&T solely on whether we get more than we did for VC. Lee and Gallinari would be better than the Williamses IMO.

Honestly. I didn't think we could become a bigger joke of a team.

It's funny that some people are actually considering it.

that might work. They take Hedo though.

Curry + Chandler + Lee for Bosh + Hedo

Chandler is good defensively from what ive seen.

2 expiring vets that help now. A young big to add to the Scottie timeline
I'd prefer to keep Stew and give Monte Morris
I'd really prefer to keep Morris and Stew and give the great Killian Hayes and 2nd round picks

No question. But he still would be significantly below average at PF; he just wouldn't be as much of a liability as he is at centre. But Bargs at C and Lee at PF would cause me to give up on watching the Raptors until the results forced a change. That would likely be the worst defensive front court in the NBA. If you still have Calderon at the point, that team would almost be guaranteed to be the worst defensive team in the history of the NBA. Hope Colangelo has more sense than that.

Rapsobsessed7 wrote:i do actually. Wait till 2011 then you have Banks + Evans + Curry as expiring contracts and you would likely have a high pick (Knight?). Hell at the deadline see what you can get for those guys. Take back any picks, prospects it would be a nice rebuild.

Knight/Jack
Derozan/Belinelli
Gallo/Weems
Lee/Johnson
Bargnani/FA (cap room)

thats a really good team for the future. You cannot complain about a return like that for CB.

You make a good case, but i just dont want to see Lee or gallo on this team. Were getting back two guys who cant play defense and need D'antoni to play well. I would rather play DD Weems Jack Beasley and Bargs

I really dont want Beasley, but i would rather get a guy with some upside + athleticism

We would be like the Golden State Warriors... but can't score as much.

With Weems and DeRozan, Chandler just gets in the way. I don't think the best asset.

Not at all. Chandler is a talent and I would want him on the team. Weems can play the 2 and Chandler the 3.

Was just gonna say the same thing. Plus, i dont really like Chandler, I feel hes not quick enough to get buy his man at times and has a weak first step for a SG. His jumpshot is also weak. Hes a great D'antoni, Nelson, O'brien system player, but not pick n roll the way we run it

Calderon, Turk and Bosh (approx. 37 million) for Lee 11 million, Gallinari and Curry (approx. 26 million) plus a 11 TPE.

The roster is then filled out by using the assets of the 12th pick, the 11 million TPE, the expiring deals of Curry, Reggie and Banks (23 mllion).

Every player acquired with the above assests would need to be defensively solid to make up for the shortcomings of the rest of the roster. Back-up shot-blocking and rebounding centre and defensive minded starting point guard are at the top of the list.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Wow seriously? If you think we can get much better than Lee/Gallo, you will be severely disappointed. I'm not a big fan of either of these guys but in terms of value, this is one of the better offers we may receive.

Yah that's what I'm thinking. An offer of lee + gallo is more than what I expect, if it's there and Bosh wants to go.. you take it. Gives you assets, which you can always flip for other players/picks.

Im sorry, but Lee on the Raptors makes you a worse team.

Positives - He is a good guy, great rebounder, great jump shooter, great passer from the high post.

Negatives - He will be overpaid, he is an AWFUL defender, and he can't create his own shot.

More importantly, both Bosh and Lee are unrestriced FA's, Bosh would have to want to go to NY, and Lee would have to want to go to Toronto for such a deal to be considered.

You would have Caldy, Hedo, Lee, and Bargs locked into contracts for 3 more years....and the frontcourt for 4 years.

David Lee is a fine player, but he cannot be the best player on your team if you want to win.
Jealousy is a sickness.......get well soon....

Two future firsts would have to be included in that. I really hope Bosh decides to go to the West if he wants to leave. It would be torture if we had a front court of Bargs and Lee going up against Bosh.

Return to Toronto Raptors
