In a perfect world, Pau Gasol puts a pitch in to also get Jose, his spanish little friend to be included in the trade. Actually, Jose would be an excellent backup PG for LA.

Anyways, I don't like Walton nor Sasha, but it's less years and less money for us. Gets Hedo out of here and saves us over 20 million so I say HELL YES

Sure it does, if they can trade him for Luke Walton and Sasha Vujacic. Two guys who are doing nothing for them for a guy who could actually help. And it only costs them an extra $4 million or so a year above what they were going to have to pay Walton.

Saves us a bunch of money and aids our rebuilding effort. Not terrible.

He would have even less ball. Artest plays the 3 too and Odom plays it at times. I dont even know if hed be the starter.

Vujacic expires next year and you can deal him then. Walton at 4 million for 4 years is tough, but you can hold onto him and see if there are similar deals elsewhere.

The Lakers just paid 21 million in luxury tax and asked PJ to take a paycut. I cant see them taking Hedo and his 10 million plus salary. Hes not a difference maker.

How many minutes are there a night for him, 25? Seems like a lot of money for a backup SG/SF...

Pretty much this.

Especially if LeBron winds up in Miami, the Lakers are going to want to do something to strengthen their depth. Having someone else who can take pressure off Kobe with the ball handling duties is a big plus for them.

And if Jackson can motivate Odom and Bynum, then he can get through to Turk like SVG did.

I'm fine with getting back Walton and Sasha. Sasha could possibly be flipped along with Banks/Evans for something else if we want.

Makes sense, especially if Heat gets big 3

Turkoglu for Bynum ( + fillers)

Lakers would be trading a big man coming off back-to-back-to-back knee injury; Going all in with
Turks for the next 4 years versus Miami . Turks would fit perfectly in the triangle

For Raps , taking a chance on a 23 years old big man with all-star potential written all over ( but again coming off back-to-back-to-back knee injury)

Odom would refuse to play in To.

Most likely Sasha, Walton...I'm wishing that somehow we can get Bynum...

maybe roll both Hedo & Calderon to Lakers + expirings to get Bynum, Sasha, Walton, etc...

Vujacic is an expiring. Would give us more flexibility to make a larger move when added to Banks/Belinelli/Evans expiring deals.

Two contracts are always better than one, especially given this team has no need for Turk now. He was Bryan's last attempt to make a splash to convince Bosh to stay and now we should be looking to move him in any kind of deal like this which gives us additional financial flexibility.

I'd do Hedo for Walton and Sasha. Sasha expires this year, Walton has two years, $11.5m remaining thereafter. We shed a little over $25m in salary commitments, and get rid of a deal that could become utterly unmovable if Turk repeats his performance of a year ago (or keeps aging, as players are wont to do).

It is. Just that its Luke Walton. :blank:

I guess it wouldn't be too bad if his dad started doing some of the Raptor games. :D

Exactly. He is what he is, a cheap relief from Hedo's contract.

Sasha would be off the books at season's end, we save 5 million plus for the 2011/12 and 12/13 seasons plus 12 million for the 13/14 season.

I'm sorry, but are you guys being serious?

Letting Bosh walk for free > Walton and Vujacic for Turkoglu.
