While we're at it, let's flip Melo and TPE in a four way trade to bring back VC, Tmac and Camby. Billups/VC/Tmac/Bargnani/Camby - Raptors all time lineup? LOL.

Ughhh wtf is with these J.R. Threads? Can we just have faith in our YOUNG SG's and give them playing time? What will adding jr accomplish? Less time for weems and dd although we may win afew more I would rather see this team sink or swim this year. Either way we do horrible and get a top pick or do mediocre and get a decent pick or use tpe next year and trade, up let it be. Can someone ban these JR threads?.

It's because the team needs swag. Swag above all else wins games. That's why a starting lineup of

PG - Iverson
SG - Arenas
SF - JR Smith
PF - Antoine Walker
C - Bargnani (once you run all his on-court trash talk through Babelfish)

would equal a thousand sexy championships.

Smith's value in the league has plummeted, and while there is talk of him being traded, it doesn't seem like anyone is willing to give the Nuggets what they want. Unless some sort of Smith for another disgruntled SG trade goes down (i.e. Rudy Fernandez) it doesn't seem like a trade worth Denver's while will come up.

With this said, I think the majority of this board can attest that the Raptors have enough 'good characters' - practically the entire team - that adding one bad apple probably wouldn't spoil the whole bunch (note: arguable given Turkoglu's stint in Toronto). Anyway, J. R. doesn't seem to be a very well liked guy within the NBA, with a chip off his shoulder and all, no one seems willing to take the risk of picking him up. THough, it seems that for whatever reason Sonny Weems and DeMar DeRozan have befriended J. R., I think that if he were moved to TOronto he would flourish. I've known and been on teams enough times with guys like J. R. (the 'chip on my shoulder, I'm gonna say don't giva***k about what anyone thinks, but I really do care' kinda guy... I've been that guy) that I can tell you if you put him in a situation where he feels accepted and appreciated, he'll be alright. Toronto could be that situation.

The trouble is whether there will be playing time for him. I think if he were brought in, DeMar moved to SF and Linas and Weems coming off the bench might cause a log jam. Although if the team can successfully trade away some point guards, or trade away Barbosa in exchange for Smith, I think things could work out just fine.

What do you think?

there is no place for this animal in the raps dont u remember we trade marco in exchange for a stupid useless because wasnt place for him????

Character issues aside, isn't he the dumbest basketball player in the NBA?

I believe in this case, Kwame Brown takes the cake.
