Would you take someone who's refusing to interview with us, but is willing to workout/interview with a team picking after us? I would if the talent discrepancy was huge, but I haven't exactly been blown away by Kanter yet. I wanted him or Biyombo the most with our pick, but this development should at the very least raise some serious concerns about him.

Another Euro going first overall.

It seems reasonable that he dodged the jazz and raptors coz of the stock pile of big men those 2 teams have but maybe also he really views himself as PF demanding to play in the 4 position so seeing both ed/amir and milsaps/favors there. That scares him even more.

I think that's mine as well. Two intense, hard-working, high upside 18-year olds with great physical tools. I like Kemba too (he's got amazing speed and ballhandling ability), but I'm concerned about him defensively--even Aaron Brooks' standing reach is 2.5" bigger than his, and Ty Lawson's is 3" bigger.

If Kanter's available at five, we better be picking him. I don't care if he wants to be here or not.

If we put a winning team on the floor he'll stay. There's concerns that Ed Davis doesn't want to be here, but almost everyone on this board likes the fact that he's on this team.

With Kanter measuring out at a legit 6'11'' with shoes, and a nearly 9'2'' standing reach, that just makes me that much more interested. In other words, he's taller than DeMarcus Cousins, and has a higher standing reach then Greg Monroe.

The concerns were always about his height and length, and now that that's not a concern, it's now that he doesn't want to be here.

I don't think we have to worry about that happening. Kanter is a 7 footer. Irving will go 1, someone will trade for D-Will at 2, Kanter or Knight to the Jazz @ 3 and the Cavs will take Kanter or Val. Biyombo going in the top 4 would be a reach and Cavs fans wouldn't be happy. Our pick would then come down to Kemba vs. Val imo.

Yes, I would. Kanter has proven himself as a legitimate 7ft center. He has by far the most well rounded game of the bigs. He'll learn to love Toronto like Ed Davis did. BC is great at working these things out.

It's just my opinion, I'm not saying it's impossible, . I don't see BC taking a one-dimensional player in the top 5. I'd rather buy a pick and draft Kenneth Faried later in the 1st.

Enes hears the Raps are on a slow and painful rebuild. He hears that Minny wants to acquire vets and start making a push. He and his agent want the money at number 2. Sounds like posturing to move higher to Minny and not the Wiz. Utah can also throw vets Minny's way. Then a favourable exhange of veteran assets to Minny. Cleveland takes Biyombo at 4 or Val at 4 and Toronto takes Knight or Kemba.

He's 1/2 an inch from 7ft with shoes on. Before the combine some people were saying that he was barely taller than T-Jones.

I'm looking at Marcus Morris measuring 6'8.75 with a 6'10 wingspan and thinking he could be in the mix for Cleveland at 4 if Irving, Williams, Kanter go top 3. His inside outside skill level is awesome for a PF. His biggest question marks was being more of a 6'7 with a 6'7.5 wingspan type size player. But those numbers look solid for a PF

I really love how him and Irving fit together. Great pick and roll/pick and pop potential. Sets them up with a possible 20 and 9 PG, 18 and 8 PF right away, Paul and West, Deron and Boozer style

I could see this draft going 1. Irving 2. Williams 3. Kanter 4. Morris 5. Biyombo, IMO

^ Morris was with the SF's at the combine but he's definitely a combo forward. It's nice to have guys with versatility but teams might shy away from taking a tweener in the top 4.

You are incorrect he was measured 6' 9.75" without shoes and 6' 11.25" with shoes.

If it's assumed that we are going to be bad next year (I am assuming anyway); do we have to keep in mind what is available next year when making this years pick?

Do we go for a pg/sg this year or wait for Kabongo next year? Draft Kanter or wait for Perry Jones?
