I'd definitely take Gasol or Bynum, and maybe Gortat or Hibbert over JV. I think JV will be good but right now we're praying he ends up as good as those guys. I guess the age works in his favor though.

Over time Val could potentialy be better then most on that list but Jordan, Gasol and Bynum are more developed. Val's going to take time to adjust. He's not going to be the player a lot of you are thinking he's going to be right out the gate.

Bynum. Maybe a younger Nene, but probably not.

I definitely don't think he should start and I know he won't start unless hes just a BEAST in preseason. Like what we did with DeMar, we just pretty much gave him the starting role. Rookies should always earn their minutes, and nothing should ever be given to them easy. Yes, we never really had anyone ahead of DeMar to take that starting role, but we should've never just given him that starting role right away(referring to his 1st and 2nd year). Anyways, Jonas is looking like a solid player, I like it how he just wants slam everything, and its not weak dunks. He reminds me of Tyson Chandler, with his length and his pick n' roll alley oops dunks.

Jonas throwing down like a stud in that game. He just always seems to be doing the "right thing" when I watch. Presenting a huge target and finishing or getting making a play when he gets the pass and targeting the rebound when he doesn't. If he fills out as I expect him to he's got elite big man potential. more of a pesky position defender though using his length to get blocks rather than making swats but offensively he's just got amazing touch and is so quick to get to off his half-hooks or above the rim.

I think fans are underestimating how big an impact he should have on our team. . He could have that starting center spot locked down before training camp ends. Would not be surprised at all. I wager he's a top 15 center in the NBA as a rookie next season. That kind of length and constant production wins games.

We go from horrible big man rotation at the moment with Bargnani out to an inside/out duo of 7-footers with a pretty good bench. Jonas is going to be a little scrawny for major minutes but thankfully we have more than adequate backup. He'd look good next to any of our forwards but is would also be tasty with any other 5s we might add in free agency or the draft.

Cousins is probably the guy that might have comparable production at the 5, long term, lot of talent and physical ablity. Of course almost anyone would take Val, given the difference in personality.
Can't wait to see him play in the Olympics. He's going to be playing his heart out. Hopefully he'll have a better team around him than last summer.

I think you guys have to be patient with him, it will take some time to adapt

We need to hype Jonas up in the same fashion Ricky Rubio was hyped...it will benefit him and us in the long-term
