Perhaps Amir is being traded in the 15th and they're keeping him out in order to limit injury risk.

I wonder where he's going.

I think most people would in the similar situation.

Its like being asked into your companies board meetings, but then you are only asked to pick up the trash and take lunch orders. The company makes some bad decisions and then basically make you the scapegoat with a demotion.

Why bother? Management doesn't mind losing and they're not really trying to win. Unless he does something really stupid he gets paid.

I don't respect players like that.

Man it just sucks seeing Amir of all people noticeably depressed/out of it. :/ Casey has got to go. First he changes Lowry, sets Gay up to fail, now Demar is angry and Amir is depressed....seriously....

when you party the day before facing the Chicago Bulls a tough opponent, or photo bomb an interview the day after we lost to the bobcats...that pretty much proves to me where his mind state is at and that he doesn't have a winners mentality. Mind you we haven't made the playoffs since hes been here.

It doesn't matter how much you get paid and where you work - if you're not happy with where you work, it will affect you. Amir has been one of the more mature players to play in Toronto. Basketball players are human like the rest of us.

I think this is it... Masai probably has a deal hes ready to make. Amir wouldnt act like this because he has to be a 6th man. He loves this city.. Getting traded would def be dejecting.

I'm not sure what the hell is happening with this team. I"ve tried to be patient, I've been pissed, I've been nonchalant...I"m tired of having a losing team. I look at teams like OKC, Bulls, SPURS, Heat...and say to myself, "WHY CAN'T WE HAVE A TEAM LIKE THAT!!!."

BLOW THIS **** UP! Rudy needs to GTFO...Casey needs to GTFO...any selfish player, anyone who doesn't commit to the defensive end or at least bring something good to this team..GTFO. Sick and tired of this crap. I know all of you are too. This franchise is a joke right now.

Yeah he is. People say he is pulling Turkoglue on us are not right. Amir cares about Toronto more than many of us, but he really hates Casey's schemes and the way the team turns into isoing ball-hogs f*ck fest. Thats why he is so disheartened.

Here effort is just a 'garbage stuff' while most of the game is constructed on selfish iso's and long twos. Thats why he is acting like that. I am surprised that Val or Tyler aren't acting like that too.

If I were a big man on this chuckers wings team i would surely be pissed off.

Well just great, Casey broke Amir. I hope you're happy, Masai.

I like Amir as a person and his love for the city. As a player though, he has always been an avg PF at best. Definitely tradable if the right deal comes along the way.

I know this team is so unlikeable and Amir is one of the few guys that is likeable but what's with everyone giving him a free pass to pout? The guy is getting paid handsomely to do a job so he should nut up and do it. It's not like Amir has been a model of consistency with this franchise, his questionable work ethic has showed up in many stat lines during his Raptor tenure. If this was Bargs, this board would be erupting. And to make excuses like he must know he's getting traded in 2 weeks (which is completely idiotic) so he has a right to pout is inane.

Geez. the guy says he likes the city and everyone falls over themselves to try and service him and he can do no wrong. News alert: most NBA players love Toronto because it's a world class city and 4th largest in North America. And while Amir seems like a nice guy, he is a bench player not a starter, at least not a starter on a winning team. He should be grateful that Colangelo threw a nice long term contract his way considering he didn't do much to earn it except he stopped being a foul machine which is I guess on this team gets you the money.

Amir is the only Raptors regular rotation player shooting 50+ % from the floor.

That gets you a bench spot with Casey. Only chuckers get to play.

If you're part of a team where it's clear the manager is an idiot and your team-lead is effing everything up and your manager comes to you and says you're not working out too well here, how would you feel?

At the same time the team-lead has zero consequences and the rest of the team knows and agrees that the lead and the manager don't know what they're doing.. this is exactly what's going on right now

To be fair, he probably didn't even want to work on his 3-point shot. Our amazing coaching staff probably forced him to play a role that he's clearly not suited for. It's kind of sad that we have two good pick and roll players in Val and Amir, but we never run a pick and roll play for them. This team is just not fun to watch anymore. They play really ugly basketball. I hate to say this, but I miss the crisp team ball our team played under Smitch. At least the games were fun to watch, even though they choked a lot. And Smitch would have benched Gay and Demar for ball-hogging and made them accountable. This organization at this point is truly fked. I have watched more Kansas ball games this season than Raptors games. Whenever there's a Raptors game, I just read the realgm game thread than watching the game. Our game threads are more entertaining than watching the game.

I understand people are picking on the "garbage stuff" part that Amir mentioned, and rightfully so because of Amir's tone. Not sure if it's just me, but I interpreted the "garbage stuff" as in the dirty work and garbage buckets (cleaning up misses). Amir probably wasn't even thinking straight when he said that, and now we're all here contemplating whether Casey regards what Amir brings to the table as "garbage".

If they were benching him to trade him, Casey wouldn't be calling him out post-game saying he needs to refocus, recharge, etc. and then say Tyler Hansboro is bringing it for us. If we're being strategic I would say this leads me to think Tyler is on the trading block...
