Ya I am also in the upper bowl balcony prime and only got the ball and the flag. However I was super excited as this is my first set of seats and I was only expecting the tickets themselves. I too was promised a derozan jersey for signing up super early and was assured that I would be getting it closer to the home opener

Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy seasons but just had a couple of questions for current SSHs

1) Were you able to part with majority of the games that you could not attend?

2) If you ended up selling games for a profit (not using realgm, but other avenues), would that count as income that would need to be taxed?

I'm looking to get either Balacony Sidelines or Lower Endzones.

I still haven't heard anything on the Derozan jersey either. I talked to my rep in the summer and they said they were challenged because DD had a busy summer and then the Worlds. Hopefully they sort it out. I'm waiting for mine too as it's my first year with Season Seats as well.

1) Yes, because the team was exceeding expectations. If this season lives up to expectations, there should be no problem selling most, but not necessarily all, unwanted games. You might not get a buyer for a late-season game against a weak opponent unless the Raptors are in the thick of an intense race for high playoff position.

2) If you report profit, yes, if you want to run it like a business, yes. But who would report a few extra dollars? Just have an explanation for bank transactions in the rare event you are audited by the CRA.

I should add that I am assuming you aren't selling too many games and that you are not planning to charge too high a markup. Selling a reasonable number of games at cost, face value or a small markup shouldn't be a problem so long as the team is relevant. There were plenty of lean years when it was really hard to get rid of even good games at a loss.

I ended up going to quite a few last year and paid a decent bit on a mark up to get to go. I currently have TFC season tickets, however as I started weekend classes in September, I'm unable to go to them. The team has not doing well as expected with injuries and recent items so the hype has dwindled and it has been hard to part with them, so just wondering if it would be the same for the Raptors.

However, I do not expect to be. The team has not changed much from last year, and we've added some good pieces. That being said, there will be a decent amount of games I won't be able to go to, given the line of work I'm in (quite of bit of travel and evening meetings/dinners), but when I'm in town, I do plan to go as frequent as possible.

Yeah, just moved to row 20 in 114 at the aisle, was in row 22 in the aisle last year. I don't go to every game though as you can tell. Usually see as the season goes which games to attend otherwise I try and sell them, but I am sure we will see each other at plenty games then.

Anyone who is reselling on other sites needs to factor in the commissions.

Stubhub charges 18%, while local Toronto reseller sites charge around 12% - 15% as their fee.

What will surprise StubHub ticket buyers (good for sellers) is that all prices are in US dollars. So a $90 ticket will actually cost $100+. When the dollar was close to par, it wasn't much of an issue.

Hey Guys,

I decided to buy Raptors Season Seats this year. We've built a great core and now, we head to the promise land. Unfortunately, I won't be able to go to every and all games this year due my work-related commitments (i.e. travel and meetings/dinners).

I've got a list of games available to sell as well but I'm waiting on friends and family to decide which games they want first.

My seats are section 115, row 15, seats 1 and 2. If there's games that you're interested in feel free to post here and i'll reach out to you if the game is still available.

Any SSH hear anything about the townhall? With our first preseason game on Sunday, you'd think there would be more communication by this point.
