You think most people are drinking and driving because it's hard to get cabs? Come on.

No, but at least in Toronto, if they could extend subway service past last call on Friday and Saturday nights, it would cut down on drunk driving significantly, IMO.

Depending where you are going its expensive as hell & one of the big reason many young people make the decision to drive. Amongst just being full of liquid courage. The problem is you drive somewhere thinking ill just have 1-2 drinks then youll have 3-4 and are force to make a judgment call under the wrong mindset.

I don't condone this but most have all been there.

Hard for a rich basketball player to get a cab? That's the funniest thing I've read in awhile lol. Truth is drunk driving probably happens more than most people think. Big gamble for anyone despite income. But all the more foolish when rich. Get a gawd damn limo!

I know for a fact that I used to have 2-3 drinks and drive home all the time living in San Francisco. Subway stops at midnight, and catching a cab around last call is impossible. Since Uber came around I've completely stopped. So yes, people drink and drive because it's hard to get cabs.
