My guess (or hope) is if Murray slips to 5, the rumors of us picking Sabonis at 9 are actually for a trade with Minnesota. Just speculating. Gotta hit a homerun pick in the lottery if we plan on being good for a long time.

I'm also hoping for us to move up in the draft but the talent drop from 5-9 is quite huge.

The rumor is that Sabonis has a promise in the top 12, they're not sure who it is but their guess it's us or ORL as per Poopsworld

Not sure why they center us out when it appears we've scouted Korkmaz n Prince more intensively than any other players.

The logic doesn't make sense. Why stop at 12? If it was Raptors it should say top 9. So it has to be 12 where the promise is.

I have no idea why you would speculate that considering Thibs is about the most defensive minded coach in the league n Sabonis' most glaring weakness (besides wingspan) is his defence and hence why Thibs is trying to trade for Butler.

Not necessarily and believe me I want it to be ORL lol

But the logic makes sense if they can't confirm WHICH team gave him the promise but they know he was promised something and that they've heard the 2 teams most interested in him are us and ORL then naturally they'll say someone in the top 12 until they can confirm. If they did in fact know conclusively that it was us then yes saying a top 10 or top 9 team has given him a promise would make the most sense.

I like Hammons but you can't compare them based on per 40. It's a bogus stat!

Besides Poeltl is a 20 year old sophomore and Hammons is a nearly 24 year old senior...Try imaging if Poeltl stayed another two years in college and think about what kind of numbers he'd put up his senior year...Considering he already has among the better stats out of anyone in the draft!

I'm getting a strong Hassan Whiteside/Christian Wood type drop with Skal this year. Both potential filled bigs that we're initially lottery projected. Underwhelming college performance combined with injury history.

Watch an epic late 1st round early 2nd round drop.

Lowry, Cojo, Wright can all play multiple positions. Baldwin is 6'4" w/ a 6'11" wingspan and a good spot up shooter, so he projects to be able to do the same. With Demar, Powell, Ross in the mix in the backcourt, there would definitely have to be some player movement to accommodate him, but you can't have enough guys who can defend multiple positions, handle in transition and run the pick and roll.

There is a sense that the Boston Celtics want to trade the third overall pick, but more and more executives believe the Celtics take Kentucky’s Jamal Murray or Cal’s Jaylen Brown if they keep the pick. Washington’s Marquese Chriss could be the dark horse for the Celtics in a bet-on-the-upside move. If the Celtics do not take Brown, its believed Denver and Sacramento are the next two teams extremely high on him as a prospect.

Don't see Brown going past Denver which is good for us imo

Could Bender actually slide all the way to us???

I wonder, no mention of his name.

Perry Jones, Rodney Hood, Embiid, Sullinger were all lottery type prospects coming out of college and medical red flags made them drop a few spots (some more than others). If this is true then we may be in for a wild draft night...... Good god I love the frigging draft. All the excitement and suspense of the picks, plus all the trade rumors.... June is a great month for basketball :D
