Smh athletes know nothing. Leave politics out of sports. Shame on them for disrespecting the office of the President.

I hear this quite often, and every time I think to myself "have people already forgotten about George W.?. Do they know about Nixon, Truman, Andrew Jackson?" I'm in no way trying to downplay Trump's ineptitude and bigotry, but so far, in terms of far reaching disastrous implications, he doesn't come close to those others I listed. Of course, it's early yet.

Trump is possibly the worst president, yes, even worse than George W. Atleast George had some sense of international relations and wasn't an actual leader in seperating the country even more, and even though he probably didn't give a crap about the lower class, he didn't do everything he could to rip their healthcare away and make matters worse. Trump is a despicable human beings who is messing with a lot of lives, while George pretty much just screwed over Iraq... still bad, just don't think nearly as bad. It is also hilarious how upset these athletes are making Trump, I would keep on doing the same things, guy is making a fool of himself with how he is dealing with the American media... Trump would be a dictator if he could, but just too much structure in place in the constitution to allow that.

Trudeau is not our worst PM ever, and I voted Harper. I have been slightly impressed with how well our economy has functioned in lieu of the energy sector going through a very bad time and the liberals spending, and also his ability to step up to Trump in NAFTA and trade talks with threats of his own. The liberals in Ontario need to go though, Wynn might be the worst premier we have had.

I really hope we see a transgender, coloured President soon so people can see soon after that greed, power and corruption actually has no colour or gender.

And more importantly get back to enjoying sports for those of us that have no understanding of the money these athletes make, never mind the billionaires running the Political parties.

US has 320 million people why inault 40% of them because you do not agree with their politics.

Cant wait for athletes to start boycotting hollywood now that weinstein truth is out, or players who beat up their spouses.

Kyle lowry is somehow our moral compass because he can play basketball and get paid insane amount of money to do so

Think of it as sticking up for the other 60%.

Its the 40% that won the election, CNN, Late night hosts, over paid athletes and other elitists are the anti trumps who control the media and continue the witch hunt and wont report what the real situations are. Expand your box, look at situations from different view points and you'll understand why Trump doesn't give a rats ass if the Toronto Raptors stay in his Hotel.

Hey I was just saying instead of the 40% you can think of it in favor of the 60%. Nothing else. Seriously nothing else. Basic numbers. But if you want to bring more into it, Trump lost me the first time he opened his mouth. It's pretty obvious he's one of those guys who speaks to only try to sell you on whatever he's saying. He doesn't care if its true or not. That comes after. That's why all the 'its gonna be beautiful'. I've been around builders and corner kids (dime bag sellers) that are talking to you only to get at your pocket, and then figure out do they want to stiff you, deal with you, or actually do business. Nothing to do with the CNN's and other crap (Thank go for some CRTC smarts way back when). If you can't see through CNN or any american politics that isn't specifically tied to the bills being passed while everybody's always busy watching the presidents and all the other hacks that's on you.
Trump is a classic dou** bag. I don't care what he cares about or not. I mean other than whether he'll start war with North Korea, but I doubt that happens without the say so and planning of pentagon, which has nothing to do with Trump in my mind. As for the people that elected him, they lost their right to an opinion as soon as they said yes lets kick out mexicans, blah blah. I'm not the type to say it's a sliding scale when it comes to helping others. Helping others is what makes us civilized, not production of flatscreens, and nuclear bombs. When people want to quit helping people because it puts them at risk that's just cowardice talking. Soldiers don't say I'll only go to field if my a** aint at risk. But people in civilized world can say no to refugees, kick them out, put em in jail, they make me uncomfortable. Yeah doesn't matter how you colour it that's people acting like bullies. Fk em.

I don't want to derail this thread, but this is a supremely ignorant thing to say. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis lost their lives as a result of the failed and misguided insurgency authorized by Bush. It's not something to be swept under the rug, like you're doing. The prevailing North American sentiment that lives lost abroad due to jingoism run amok are acceptable
and somehow worth less than our sheltered, comfortable existences is sickening.

Truman, being made VP under Roosevelt was a huge mistake. Henry Wallace would have replaced Roosevelt had he retained the VP position. He wold have upheld Roosevelt's deal with Churchill to end colonialism, meaning Vietnam would have had its independence from France. Wallace would have continued Roosevelt's cooperative, but competitive relationship with Stalin and the cold war may never have happened. The economy could have been the contest.

No military industrial complex which requires never ending conflict to fuel the economy.

Read about Wallace http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/14297-henry-wallace-americas-forgotten-visionary

Also, if Trump is successful in bringing North Korea into war, he will have Trumped Bush and Nixon.

Oh I don't know, the fact he has surrounded himself with white nationalists in the white house and claimed that there were "good people" at a KKK, Nazi march. Not to mention, before becoming President he had to settled with the Justice Department over accusations of racial discrimination.

So when a team full of black men, led by a black President in Masai don't want to reward this behaviour, it shouldn't come as a shock.

Yet these black athletes supported Hillary. Lol. You really think these guys are doing any of their own research? I bet most of them just watch CNN and call it a day.

Not saying Trump isn't a bad president. He's completly out of his element. But these Hillary supporters like the act like she was really a less evil candidate.

idk man, my favourite may have been when he made fun of the mentally challenged by making faces and physically ridiculing them during a speech.

Or when he admitted to groping women on camera because they're basically powerless to do anything about it

His epic and record streak of weekend golfing, something he used to cry about during Obama's administration, is also pretty impressive. So add hypocrisy to the long list of admirable traits.

You can think w/e you want of his politics, but he's a garbage human being and he gives several reasons every week to despise him.

I saw enough when he demanded Obama to produce a birth certificate. Everything after that just confirmed my original position.

But she was less of an evil candidate. I supported Hillary because she wasn't Trump, though hated her in the primaries.

Not true. Right or wrong Trump has people engaged in Politics like never before. If Clinton won most would still be completely in the dark. Racism and profiling is a very important issue, and dialogue must continue. But there are many issues and Left and Right Mainstream media brainwash is another.

Complicated world. Hope enough are smart enough to try to work thru it together. Bring pitted left vs.right, white vs.black will get us no where. Its good to see people starting to talk politics as this should help people accept each other more in the long run.

Most important aspect of a free world is democracy and funny I don't remember any reasonable class to teach people about politics until I was in University. We need to explain this to kids in schools from an early age so they can be more respectful an tolerant, and understand the importance of always being engaged and the importance of voting. Not just when a sports player takes a knee, or a rich, trust funded loudmouth TV star slides in to become the face of a Political party over crooked rich elite families. Average people have been in the dark for a very long time.

They better not be going to the White House after they win the ship either. I can't see Demar or Lowry going especially.

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.
